Yes. Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced on October 8, 2026 that Once Upon A KATAMARI has launched for Nintendo Switch 2, and that the Rolling LIVE Highlights DLC is available alongside it. The game is also listed for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Switch 2 version is the one with new controls and visual upgrades, and the DLC adds 10 quests with music inspired by the mobile game Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE.
Where the game is available
According to the publisher’s October 8, 2026 announcement, the game and the DLC are available on the following platforms. Store listings and regional availability can differ from the announcement, so check your platform’s store page before buying.

The announcement does not state a price for either the game or the DLC. The July 15, 2026 launch-plan announcement said the DLC would be sold separately across platforms, which is consistent with it being a separate purchase rather than a bundled one.
What the Switch 2 version changes
The publisher identifies three differences from the Nintendo Switch version:

- Mouse controls for Switch 2 play.
- Smoother framerate. The publisher does not give frame-rate figures, so “smoother” is a qualitative claim only.
- Enhanced graphics. No resolution, rendering, or other measured visual specifications are given.
If performance is your deciding factor, the publisher’s wording is the only evidence available so far. Independent measurements of the Switch 2 build were not part of the announcement.
Transferring a save from Nintendo Switch
Existing Nintendo Switch players can transfer save data to Nintendo Switch 2, but only when the Switch 2 system has no save data for the game already. If a save already exists on the Switch 2, the transfer path described by the publisher does not apply, so check that before you start. The announcement does not describe the on-screen steps for the transfer, so consult the platform’s own instructions for that process.

What Rolling LIVE Highlights adds
The DLC contains 10 new quests and their soundtracks, inspired by the mobile game Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE. The publisher describes the premise as rolling alongside Earth’s streamers, meeting new cousins, and helping the King keep up with trends. The DLC is the right purchase mainly if you enjoy the streaming theme of the mobile game. The publisher’s material does not say whether the quests are tied to new levels or stages beyond their quest structure.

In Once Upon A KATAMARI, the Prince travels through time, including the Jurassic Period, the Ice Age, and historic Japan, rolling up objects to restore the stars. The publisher lists these features:

The July 15, 2026 announcement, which is available here, set the Switch 2 launch for October 8. The October announcement confirmed that date and the launch itself, so the October release is the current status.
The publisher’s announcements do not include a named-person quote or a sales or player statistic, so this article does not rely on any.
