The Omega OO687X is a seven-function electric oven, according to Omega’s instruction manual. The documentation explains its cooking modes and electronic controls, but the available sources do not establish how it performs in independent cooking tests or how reliable owners find it. This is therefore a document-based review, not a hands-on verdict.
What the Omega OO687X review can—and cannot—establish
Omega’s instruction manual covers the OO687X alongside several related electric-oven models and includes a function table specifically for the OO687X. That table identifies seven functions. Because the manual assigns different function counts to some sibling models, the OO687X-specific table matters: features from another model in the same booklet should not be attributed to this oven. - Turn the mode selector to ZERO.
- Use the time/temperature control to change the flashing hour value.
- Push the time/temperature control to switch from hours to minutes.
- Turn the control to change the flashing minute value. Follow the manual’s instructions to finish setting the time.

Replacement clock timer: a compatibility lead to verify
All Major Appliances lists the Omega touch-control clock timer, part 12540802, as compatible with the OO687X. This is a retailer compatibility listing, not confirmation that the part will fit every appliance variant or fault. Before ordering, compare the appliance rating label and the existing component with the seller’s fitment details. The listing does not verify Amazon availability. [c003]
For a search, the part number and model together—“Omega OO687X oven control timer 12540802”—are more useful than searching for a generic oven timer. If the failure may involve a different component, WAM Electrical lists a door seal for a model range that includes OO687X, and All Major Appliances lists a pair of hinges with OO687X in its compatible-model information.
