OCTOPATH TRAVELER and OCTOPATH TRAVELER II are reportedly coming to GOG as Preservation Program releases on October 8. GamingOnLinux reported the date and the sequel’s arrival; GOG’s official page confirms that the first game is listed in the program. The gathered official sources do not confirm the sequel’s live GOG listing or the reported launch date.
What is reported, and what GOG confirms
GamingOnLinux reports that both OCTOPATH TRAVELER games are set to arrive on GOG under its Preservation Program, with October 8 given as the date: GamingOnLinux’s report. The date and the sequel’s arrival should therefore be treated as reported details, not as independently confirmed facts from a live official GOG listing.

GOG’s official OCTOPATH TRAVELER product page identifies the first game as part of the Preservation Program. The available official product-page information gathered here does not establish the sequel’s listing, price, regional availability, system requirements, or edition-specific extras.

What the Preservation Program means
GOG describes the program as an “official stamp on classic games improved by GOG.” It says that for participating games, it commits resources to maintaining compatibility with modern and future systems: GOG’s program announcement, November 13, 2024.

GOG also says program games undergo extensive quality testing and may receive custom compatibility fixes and quality-of-life improvements. Those are program-level commitments; they do not establish which specific fixes, if any, are included for either OCTOPATH TRAVELER game.
DRM-free play and offline installation
GOG’s page for the first OCTOPATH TRAVELER describes it as DRM-free and says buyers can download an offline installer and install the game without GOG Galaxy.
