Amazon’s October Prime sale, officially called Prime Big Deal Days 2026, runs October 6–7, beginning October 6 at 12:01 a.m. PDT. Early monitor offers have been reported on Samsung and LG models, but prices and stock can change, and the available reporting does not establish a current Dell deal or support “save up to $300” as a reliable cap. Check the exact model and checkout price before buying.
When are October Prime Day monitor deals?
Amazon says Prime Big Deal Days 2026 will run for 48 hours, October 6–7, across more than 35 categories. Its announcement also says members can shop some early deals ahead of the event; that does not mean every monitor offer is exclusive to Prime members. Confirm eligibility on the individual listing. Amazon’s event announcement highlights early offers on Amazon devices and services, rather than providing a definitive monitor-deal list.

Prices below are snapshots from deal coverage published October 1–3, 2026, not guaranteed checkout prices. Technobezz said its prices were checked against Amazon at 7:07 a.m. ET on October 3 and warned that prices and availability can change. Other listed prices come from separate deal reports, so compare the live product page and seller before treating them as current.
Reported early monitor offers
| Monitor | Reported price and comparison | Reported details |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung ViewFinity S6 S61F, 27-inch | $143.99; Technobezz listed it at 31% off. iClarified compared $143.99 with $229.99. | QHD; confirm the exact S61F listing. |
| Samsung ViewFinity S7 S71H, 27-inch | $170.99; Technobezz listed it at 29% off. iClarified compared $170.99 with $249.99. | iClarified describes a 4K model. Match the suffix and resolution on the listing; do not assume all S71H offers are the same variant. |
| Samsung Odyssey G55C, 32-inch | $189.99 in Technobezz’s October 3 roundup. | QHD, 165 Hz, 1000R curve, and AMD FreeSync, according to the roundup. Its 1 ms MPRT claim requires Extreme mode. |

| Samsung Odyssey G9 (G91F), 49-inch | $649.99 versus $999.99, per iClarified. | Check exact model and current listing. |
| Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) | Around $603, reported by iClarified and 9to5Toys. | Verify the exact variant and seller before comparing. |

| Samsung ViewFinity S8 (S85TH), 40-inch | $999.99 versus a reported usual price of $1,400, per 9to5Toys. | Described as a curved 5K2K (5120 × 2160) display with up to 144 Hz, Thunderbolt 5, and up to 140 W charging. Verify these details against the exact manufacturer or product listing. |
The comparisons in this table are deal-publisher reference prices, not independent price-history audits. For example, PC Gamer reported that a Samsung Odyssey G5 G50SF OLED at $330 had previously been available for slightly less. A crossed-out price or discount percentage alone does not establish a record low or prove that an offer is unusually good.
#1 Best Overall
- Samsung’s 27” Odyssey G5 QHD Gaming Monitor delivers brilliant visuals for exhilarating gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before.
- QHD resolution (2560 x 1440) boasts incredibly detailed, pin-sharp images.
- With a wide 178° viewing angle, the IPS panel consistently delivers crisp, clear hues from various viewpoints.
- 180Hz Refresh Rate and 1ms response time (GtG) allow fast reactions for ultra-smooth gaming, plus G-Sync compatibility syncs the GPU and panel to reduce choppiness, screen lag, and image tearing.
- HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadows for added depth.
Which deals suit different buyers?
For office work and general use
The ViewFinity S6 and S7 offers are the more conventional-size options in this group. Compare the actual resolution, stand, input ports, and return terms on the exact listing. The reported S7 resolution needs particular care: confirm whether the item is the 4K variant before comparing it with the QHD S6.
For high-refresh gaming
The reported 32-inch Odyssey G55C combines QHD resolution with a 165 Hz refresh rate and a pronounced 1000R curve. It may suit someone who wants a large curved gaming display, but check whether that curve fits the desk and viewing distance. Treat the 1 ms MPRT figure as a mode-dependent manufacturer-style claim: Technobezz says it requires Extreme mode, rather than describing a response measurement guaranteed in every setting.
Rank #2
- REACT IN REAL TIME: 180Hz refresh rate eliminates lag for exhilarating gameplay with ultrasmooth action; 1ms response time (MPRT) provides frames with minimal blur, allowing you to jump on enemies right when you see them¹
- STAY IN SYNC WITH THE ACTION: AMD Radeon FreeSync keeps your monitor and graphics card refresh rate in sync to reduce image tearing; Watch movies and play games without interruptions; Even the fastest scenes look seamless and smooth²
- DISCOVER ENEMIES IN THE SHADOWS WITH BETTER VISIBILITY: Black Equalizer allows you to adjust dark areas in games, letting you spot your enemies in even the darkest hiding nooks²
- A NEW LEVEL OF ACCURACY: Line up more accurate shots with Virtual Aim Point; Crosshairs on the screen give you a new level of accuracy in any game, when precision can mean the difference between life and death²
- FRESH EYES WIN MORE: Eye Saver Mode minimizes blue light to help keep your eyes relaxed and comfortable when gaming for extended periods; The Odyssey G3 also reduces irritating and frustrating screen flicker, so you can focus longer²
The Odyssey G8 5K, G9, and OLED G6 are distinct alternatives, not interchangeable “gaming monitor” bargains. Their screen sizes and panel types differ; compare the exact resolution, refresh rate, ports, and panel specification on the product pages before choosing.

The 34-inch LG UltraGear is the reported curved OLED option. The 49-inch Samsung G9 is a much wider screen, while the 40-inch ViewFinity S8 is pitched as a high-resolution workstation display. The S8’s reported Thunderbolt 5 and up-to-140 W charging may be useful for a laptop setup, but confirm both features and the included power arrangement against the exact listing. Do not compare these models on discount alone: their sizes, shapes, panels, and connectivity target different desks and workflows.

How to check whether a monitor deal is worth buying
- Match the full model identifier. Check the suffix, screen size, resolution, panel, and refresh rate. Similar product names can refer to different variants.
- Compare the real payable amount. At checkout, confirm the seller, any coupon, shipping or delivery charges, stock, and whether Prime membership is required for that listing.
- Judge the display against your use. Office work, creative tasks, and gaming prioritize different combinations of resolution, refresh rate, panel, curve, and screen size. A discount does not make one type universally better.
- Check the physical and connection fit. Review dimensions, stand adjustment, mount compatibility, ports, and any charging claims against the exact product specification.
- Use price history cautiously. Deal-roundup reference prices are not proof of a record low. PC Gamer’s example of the G5 G50SF OLED shows why it is worth checking whether the item has sold for less before.
- Compare retailers. The event name does not guarantee Amazon has the lowest price. PC Gamer’s comparison includes alternatives at Walmart; compare the same model and account for seller and return conditions.
What about the “save up to $300” and Dell claims?
The headline’s $300 figure is not supported as a dependable maximum by the reported offers: an October 1 roundup listed $350 off a Samsung monitor. The October 3 highlighted deals include smaller reductions, but neither set establishes the largest available discount across the whole sale. The sources also do not independently substantiate a specific Dell monitor offer. Treat any Dell listing as unverified until its exact model, retailer, current price, and discount are confirmed.
