Is $769 a good price?
Against the reported $899 regular price, $769 is a $130 reduction for this configuration. That makes it an attractive sale price if the listing still matches the report. “Best,” however, is a recommendation based on the deal information available here—not a verified ranking across every retailer or a conclusion from hands-on comparative testing. The reports do not establish a comprehensive price history.

Apple’s August 2026 announcement says the M6 mini supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and 2.5Gb Ethernet; 10Gb Ethernet is available as an option. Apple says the performance testing behind that announcement was conducted in July 2026. Read Apple’s M6 Mac mini announcement.
Who should consider buying it?
- Consider it if you want a compact desktop, have or plan to use a monitor and input devices, and the exact 16GB/256GB model remains near the reported $769 price.
- Check your storage needs before choosing the 256GB SSD configuration. If your files and applications will outgrow it, account for how you will manage storage rather than assuming the sale price changes the capacity.
- Compare alternatives if you need a different memory or storage configuration, or if your setup requires 10Gb Ethernet; that networking option is not included in the listed standard specification.
A monitor, keyboard, mouse or external storage may be useful if you do not already have them, but the deal reports do not establish a particular accessory as necessary or recommend a specific model.
