Sony announced three PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October 2026 on September 30: F1 25 (PS5), Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5) and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5 and PS4). Members can add them to their libraries from October 6 through November 2, 2026. Sony’s announcement says the lineup may vary by region, so check your local PlayStation Store when the games become available.
What are the PS Plus games for October 2026?
The three games cover racing, extraction shooting and co-operative action. Sony lists all three as Monthly Games for PlayStation Plus members.

When can you claim October’s PS Plus games?
Sony’s stated claim window runs from Tuesday, October 6, through Monday, November 2, 2026. Add each game to your library through the PlayStation Store during that period. Sony cautions that availability can differ by region, so the local Store is the place to confirm the offer.

T3 characterized the September 30 reveal as late, noting that Sony usually announces Monthly Games well before the previous month ends. The dates establish that the announcement came on September 30 and the new games start October 6; Sony’s post does not itself define its usual announcement schedule or label the reveal a delay. The timing description is therefore T3’s comparison, not an official finding.

What September PS Plus games are leaving the offer?
Monday, October 5, 2026, is the last day Sony says members can add September’s games: Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes. If you want them, add them before the October lineup begins.

No. Sony’s announcement separately mentions limited-time Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars in Sony Pictures Core and horror-themed in-game packs. The avatar promotion ends October 20, 2026, and access to the pack contents requires owning the base game; these offers have their own terms and are not part of the three Monthly Games.

T3 also reports an optional, one-off paid F1 25: 2026 Season Pack update. It is separate from the PS Plus claim offer and is not required to claim or play the monthly game.
