No—this is not three free months of PlayStation Plus. Sony’s October 2026 offer is a lineup of three monthly games that members can claim from October 6 through November 2, 2026. You need an active membership to play them, and the one-month subscription is a paid, recurring plan until canceled.
Which games are in the October 2026 PlayStation Plus lineup?
Sony announced three games available to PlayStation Plus members from October 6 to November 2, 2026. The lineup is:
- F1 25 — PS5
- Hunt: Showdown 1896 — PS5
- Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 — PS5 and PS4
The dates are the claim window: check your regional PlayStation Store during that period, since Sony says lineups can differ by region. Sony’s October announcement also notes that terms and age restrictions apply.

No. “Three” refers to the number of games in October’s lineup, not months of free membership. Sony describes monthly games as available at no extra cost during an active PlayStation Plus membership. That means the subscription itself is paid, and access to these games is tied to your membership status.

Which PlayStation Plus tier includes the monthly games?
Essential is enough to claim monthly games. The higher tiers add separate game catalogs and other benefits; they are not required for this lineup.

How to claim an October monthly game
- On PS5: From the Games home screen, select PlayStation Plus → Benefits → Monthly Games, choose a game, then select Download.
- On PS4: Open PlayStation Plus → Monthly Games, choose a game, select Add to Library, then Download.
- Alternatively: Start a download remotely through a browser or the PlayStation App.
These steps follow PlayStation Support’s instructions for accessing Plus games. Claim each title while it is available; the October claim window ends November 2.

Sony says Plus monthly games can be played while your membership is active. If your membership ends, you lose access to the monthly games; access returns if you renew while those games remain associated with your account. The games are not three months of subscription time or permanent free copies independent of membership. See Sony’s PlayStation Plus FAQ for its membership-access rules.

Who can join, and can benefits be shared?
Sony’s support guidance says an account holder must be at least 7 to join, subject to local age requirements. Membership belongs to the account. Some benefits can be shared on a primary PS4 or on one PS5 when the applicable console-sharing settings are enabled; details and restrictions are listed on PlayStation’s sharing support page.
