Nscale announced a $2 billion Series C on March 9, 2026, led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries. The company said the financing valued it at $14.6 billion and would fund expansion of its AI infrastructure business. That is a company-stated financing valuation, not a public-market price.
What is Nscale?
Nscale describes itself as a vertically integrated AI infrastructure provider. Its business spans energy, data centers, GPU compute, networking, data services and orchestration software. The company says its platform is intended to support enterprise AI training, fine-tuning and inference; these are descriptions of its offering, not proof that every planned facility or service is already deployed.
For the March announcement, Nscale called the financing the largest Series C in European history. That is the company’s characterization; the available sources do not independently establish a complete comparison set to verify the superlative.

Who invested in Nscale’s $2 billion Series C?
Nscale said Aker ASA and 8090 Industries led the round. It named Astra Capital Management, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, Lenovo, Linden Advisors, Nokia, NVIDIA and Point72 among the participants. The announcement also says the transaction includes the previously announced Pre-Series C SAFE. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and J.P. Morgan acted as joint placement agents, according to Nscale.

Rayyan Islam, co-founder and general partner of 8090 Industries, said in Nscale’s release: “We are living through a new era defined by AI, and the limiting factor is infrastructure.” That is an investor’s view, not an independently established finding.
What is Nscale worth?
Nscale stated that the March Series C valued the company at $14.6 billion. This is a valuation disclosed in connection with a private financing, not a share price available on a public exchange. The company’s announcement includes the earlier SAFE in the transaction framing, so the $2 billion headline should not be read as a simple measure of cash raised in the Series C alone.

What will Nscale do with the money?
Nscale said proceeds would support global expansion of its vertically integrated AI infrastructure. The intended scope includes GPU compute, networking, data services and orchestration software, alongside the energy and data-center infrastructure needed to operate them. The announcement describes a growth plan; it does not establish that all planned capacity has been built or is operational.
How does the March Series C differ from Nscale’s later financing?
On September 25, 2026, Nscale announced a separate $3.36 billion pre-IPO convertible financing led by Third Point. The company said the proceeds would expand its full-stack AI cloud platform. It named NVIDIA, funds managed by Apollo, Citadel, Hudson Bay Capital, Abu Dhabi Investment Council and 8090 Industries among participating investors.

Nscale also reported more than $103 billion in total contracted value (TCV) in its September announcement. TCV is the company’s reported value of contracts; it is not the same as realized revenue, cash raised or profit, and the figure has not been independently audited in the cited announcement. An SEC filing dated September 18, 2026 separately discusses financing and infrastructure commitments, including GPU facilities, revolving credit, data-center framework agreements and project-specific commitments. Those unlike items should not be added together and described as one fundraising total.

The available reporting points to a specific constraint rather than a verdict on the company’s entire expansion. In a report published October 3, 2026, TechRadar Pro said the planned Loughton, Essex data center faced grid-power supply delays. The project was reported to require 90 MW, and the delays could affect its expected timeline. This is a reported issue at Loughton; it does not establish the status of Nscale’s other sites.

TechRadar Pro also characterized more than 300 data centers as being in a UK grid-connection backlog. That figure describes the wider UK context in the outlet’s report, not a count of Nscale projects or evidence that every affected project faces the same delay.
