Nothing’s US push began with a focused Phone (3) launch in June 2025, sold through Nothing’s website and Amazon. By June 2026, the company had announced broader distribution at Best Buy, including phones and audio products. That is a real expansion of sales channels—not evidence that Nothing has already displaced Apple or Samsung or captured significant US market share.
What Nothing announced for the US, and when
June 2025: Phone (3) general sale
On June 12, 2025, TechCrunch reported that Nothing’s Phone (3) would go on general sale in the US through Nothing’s website and Amazon. Until then, Phone (2) had been the only Nothing phone to receive general US sale; earlier access had relied on a beta program.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei described the launch as a step toward a longer-term US presence. He told TechCrunch: “The smartphone market in the U.S. is dominated by two players, but a lot of people are hungry for something different.” That is the company’s competitive pitch, not proof of customers switching at a scale that threatens either incumbent.
June 2026: Best Buy distribution
On June 12, 2026, Android Central reported that Nothing had announced nationwide availability of selected phones and audio products at Best Buy stores and on bestbuy.com. The products named were Phone 4a Pro, Phone 3, Headphone (a), and Ear (3). This widened the reported retail footprint beyond Nothing’s own site and Amazon, though an announcement does not guarantee that a particular item is currently in stock. Android Central’s report also attributed US sales and revenue growth figures to Nothing.

Is Nothing really launching an “onslaught” against Apple and Samsung?
“Onslaught” overstates what the confirmed moves show. The evidence is a focused flagship sale in 2025 followed by a wider retail channel in 2026. Nothing has not, in these reports, demonstrated a market-share surge or a successful displacement of Apple or Samsung.
Nothing said US sales rose 120% and US revenue rose 175% in 2025, figures relayed by Android Central in its June 12, 2026 report. Those are company-attributed growth claims, not independently audited results in the report, and they do not establish market share. Growth percentages also do not reveal the starting sales base.

Nothing’s positioning is that its transparent design and interface offer an alternative to familiar smartphone brands. Its company page describes products as designed to aid creativity and reduce distraction; these are Nothing’s stated design aims, not independently measured outcomes. The same page says the company has a global community of more than six million, released 30-plus products, and operates in 60-plus countries; it does not state a year for those totals.

What US buyers should check before buying a Nothing phone
Carrier compatibility
TechCrunch’s June 2025 report said Phone (3) supported AT&T and T-Mobile coverage with multi-band 4G and 5G. That does not establish compatibility with every US carrier, plan, or network band. Check the exact model and carrier requirements before purchase rather than assuming that a phone sold in the US works everywhere.

Where to buy and what is available
Nothing’s US storefront currently presents phones, earbuds, headphones, and CMF products; its assortment can change. The Best Buy announcement adds another reported route to purchase, but stock and product listings can change by location and date. Confirm the exact model, seller, return terms, and current availability with the retailer.
Compare the specific phone, not just the brand
A useful comparison with an Apple or Samsung model depends on your intended use and the exact models involved. Check carrier bands, price at purchase, software-update commitments, camera and performance needs, retail returns, and repair or after-sales support. This reporting establishes launch channels and limited Phone (3) carrier information, but not a current, model-by-model specification or price comparison.

What Nothing’s product plans say about the pace of its push
A US retail expansion does not mean Nothing will launch a new flagship every year. Android Authority reported in January 2026 that Pei said there would be no Nothing flagship phone launch that year, with the company instead concentrating on its 4a line. He said: “We’re going to be focused on leveling up our A series with the 4a.” The comment describes the company’s 2026 strategy as reported at the time. In a later statement reported August 6, 2026, Nothing president Akis Evangelidis said the company had launched three smartphones in 2026—Nothing Phone 4a, Phone 4a Pro, and Phone 4b—and was looking to launch twice that number in 2027. That is a plan, not a guarantee of future releases. 9to5Google’s report quotes Evangelidis on the proposed broader lineup.
