The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has the larger, faster-refresh display and a clearly specified periscope zoom camera. The OPPO Reno16 F 5G may offer a larger battery in some markets, but its exact specifications and price depend on the regional version. The available official prices are from different countries and storage configurations, so they do not establish which phone costs less for you.

Display: Nothing specifies the larger and faster panel
Nothing lists a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with adaptive refresh up to 144 Hz. OPPO confirms a 6.57-inch Reno16 F screen, but its cited announcement does not give the resolution or refresh rate. That makes Nothing the stronger choice on the published screen figures; it does not establish that the OPPO panel has a particular lower resolution or refresh rate.
Performance: Reno16 F’s chipset remains unconfirmed here
Nothing identifies the Phone (4a) Pro processor as Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. OPPO’s global announcement names processors for the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro, but not Reno16 F. Do not use another Reno16 model’s chipset as a stand-in: check the official specification sheet for the exact Reno16 F variant sold locally before judging processing performance.
Cameras: compare optical zoom, not maximum zoom figures
Nothing’s stated camera hardware
Nothing lists a 50 MP Sony main camera with optical image stabilization and a 50 MP OIS periscope camera. It advertises 3.5x optical zoom and up to 140x zoom. The latter is a maximum zoom claim, not an optical-zoom equivalent; Nothing describes its “up to 140x ultra zoom” as a manufacturer claim, not an independent camera-quality result. What OPPO says about Reno16 cameras
OPPO describes a series-level rear setup with an OIS main camera, approximately 3.5x optical telephoto portrait zoom, and an ultrawide camera. It also describes a 50 MP ultrawide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view. The announcement does not fully enumerate Reno16 F sensor specifications, so verify the front and rear camera details for the local F model before treating those series claims as guaranteed for it. Battery and charging: regional versions change the comparison
Nothing’s UK page lists a 5,080 mAh battery and 50 W charging, while its India page lists 5,400 mAh. OPPO says the Reno16 F’s highest-capacity version reaches 7,000 mAh typical capacity and 6,850 mAh rated capacity, but explicitly notes that battery capacity varies by market. Reno16 F charging is listed as 80 W or 45 W depending on market and version. These manufacturer figures suggest a possible capacity advantage for the largest Reno16 F variant on paper, but they do not show measured battery life or establish which configuration is sold where.

Durability and software support
Nothing lists IP65 and Gorilla Glass 7i. OPPO says the Reno16 series has IP68, IP69, and IP69K water- and dust-resistance ratings across models. These are ratings, not a promise that either phone is waterproof; OPPO’s cited series statement also does not replace confirmation of the exact Reno16 F regional specification.

OPPO identifies ColorOS 16 and AI tools for the Reno16 series, but the cited sources do not state an equivalent Reno16 F update-duration commitment. The available information therefore does not support a like-for-like support-length comparison.

Prices: the published figures are not a direct comparison
| Phone and market | Published price | Configuration and context |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, US | $499 | 8 GB RAM / 128 GB storage; 2026 product-page listing. Price and availability can change. Nothing US product page |
| OPPO Reno16 F 5G, UAE | AED 1,799 | 8 GB RAM / 256 GB storage; OPPO UAE launch announcement dated July 31, 2026. OPPO UAE announcement |
| OPPO Reno16 F 5G, UAE | AED 2,099 | 12 GB RAM / 256 GB storage; OPPO UAE launch announcement dated July 31, 2026. OPPO UAE announcement |
These are prices in different countries, currencies, and memory configurations, so converting or subtracting them would not produce a meaningful local price difference. OPPO’s UAE launch announcement described a limited preorder bundle and trade-in promotion that expired in August 2026; those offers should not be treated as current.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose Nothing as the clearer fit if a larger stated display, up to 144 Hz refresh, and a specifically listed 3.5x optical periscope camera are priorities.
- Consider Reno16 F if its local variant confirms the battery capacity, charging speed, camera details, and price you want; the highest-capacity version OPPO advertises may be attractive for capacity on paper.
- Wait to decide on performance or overall value until you have the Reno16 F’s local chipset and full specification sheet, plus current authorized-seller prices for both phones in comparable configurations.
OPPO announced the Reno16 series on June 25, 2026, and published its UAE Reno16 F launch announcement on July 31, 2026. Those market-specific sources do not establish local availability or exact specifications in every country.
