The vivo T5 Pro 5G has the stronger published display and battery specifications, while the Nothing Phone (3a) lists a more versatile set of rear-camera focal lengths, including dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide cameras. A reliable current price difference cannot be calculated from the available matched-price information: vivo’s India store lists ₹41,999 for its 8GB+128GB model, but a comparable current Nothing Phone (3a) price was not established. Check the same RAM and storage tier from comparable sellers before deciding on value.

Specifications are manufacturer-listed figures, not results from a matched independent test. Nothing’s official Phone (3a) page and vivo’s official T5 Pro 5G page and India store listing are the sources for the comparison. The vivo price was displayed on the store listing accessed October 4, 2026, and may change.
Which phone has the better display?
On published specifications, vivo has the larger, higher-resolution, higher-refresh display: 6.83 inches at 1.5K and 144 Hz, compared with the Nothing’s 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with adaptive refresh up to 120 Hz. That may appeal if screen size, resolution and refresh-rate figures are priorities. Those numbers alone do not establish which display is brighter, better calibrated or easier to read outdoors.
How do their processors compare?
The Phone (3a) uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, while the T5 Pro 5G lists the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The generation number identifies the chip variants, but it does not by itself prove which phone is faster in everyday use, games or sustained workloads. No matched benchmark evidence is established here; seek independent testing for a performance verdict.

Which has the bigger battery and faster charging?
The vivo lists a 9,020 mAh battery and 90W charging; Nothing lists 5,000 mAh and 50W. The vivo therefore has the larger rated capacity and higher rated charging wattage. Neither capacity nor charging wattage specifies real-world screen-on time or time to recharge: usage, software, temperature and test conditions matter, and there is no independent side-by-side endurance or charge-time result established here.
Which camera setup is more useful?
The Phone (3a) lists three distinct rear cameras: a 50 MP OIS main camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. The T5 Pro 5G lists a 50 MP Sony IMX882 OIS main camera and a 2 MP bokeh camera. For framing options, Nothing’s published hardware explicitly includes both telephoto and ultra-wide modules; vivo’s listed system centers on its main camera with a bokeh sensor. Megapixel counts and module lists do not establish comparative photo quality, so a claim that either takes better pictures would require matched camera testing.

What do the listed software versions tell you?
Nothing’s product page shows Nothing OS 3.0; vivo’s material shows OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Treat these as manufacturer-listed software details, not a guarantee of the version installed on every regional unit or of its current rollout status. Confirm the software version for the exact India model and seller before purchase if updates or a particular interface matter to you.

What is the price difference in India?
A defensible current rupee difference is not available because a matched current India price for the Nothing Phone (3a) was not established. The vivo Official E-Store India displayed ₹41,999 for the T5 Pro 5G in 8GB+128GB Cosmic Black on October 4, 2026. That is one store listing snapshot, not a permanent price or a price for every memory configuration.

For a fair comparison, check live prices for the same RAM and storage tier, on a consistent seller basis, and account for any offers that actually apply to you. Subtract the Nothing price from the vivo price to get the rupee difference; divide that difference by the Nothing price and multiply by 100 to express the percentage difference relative to Nothing. Record the seller and date, since prices, stock and offers can change.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the vivo T5 Pro 5G if its published 9,020 mAh capacity, 90W charging, 1.5K resolution or 144 Hz refresh rate best match your priorities.
- Consider the Nothing Phone (3a) if having dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide rear cameras is important to how you shoot.
- Compare independent tests before choosing based on gaming speed, actual battery endurance, charging time, outdoor visibility or photo quality; the listed specifications do not settle those questions.
- Make the value decision only after checking equivalent live prices for the same memory tier and comparable sellers.
Nothing also says its Phone (3a) can “Maintain over 90% maximum capacity, after 1,200 charging cycles.” This is Nothing’s manufacturer claim, not an independent result or a comparison with vivo.
