The Motorola Signature has the higher listed refresh rate, a newer-named Snapdragon platform, and faster stated wired and wireless charging. The Nothing Phone (3) counters with four 50MP cameras, its Glyph interface, and a lower displayed UK price for one configuration. The price figures available here are from different markets and dates, so they do not establish which phone is the better-value buy.

Nothing Phone 3 vs Motorola Signature: specifications compared

This comparison uses official manufacturer specifications, not independent speed, battery, or camera tests. A higher specification number can describe a hardware advantage on paper, but it does not by itself prove a better real-world experience.

Specification Nothing Phone (3) Motorola Signature
Chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, according to Nothing’s UK product page Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, according to Motorola UK Support
Display 6.67-inch AMOLED, 120Hz, per Nothing 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED, 165Hz, per Motorola UK; resolution 2780 × 1264, per Motorola UK Support
Camera claim Four 50MP cameras, as marketed by Nothing 50MP camera system, as described in Motorola’s specifications and launch materials
Charging 15W wireless charging; Nothing says charging from 1% to 50% takes under 20 minutes. Both figures are manufacturer claims on Nothing’s product page. Up to 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, per Motorola UK Support
RAM and storage Launch configurations: 12GB/256GB or 16GB/512GB, per Nothing’s preorder terms 16GB RAM and 512GB storage in the UK specification, per Motorola UK Support
Software support commitment Duration not stated on the retrieved Nothing product page Up to seven OS updates and up to seven years of security updates from global launch, according to Motorola’s launch announcement

Which phone has the stronger hardware specifications?

Chipset and performance

The Signature lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the Phone (3) lists a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Those are different platforms, but the names alone are not a reliable measure of everyday speed, sustained performance, or battery efficiency. The official sources cited here do not provide controlled comparative tests, so they cannot establish a performance winner.

Display size and refresh rate

Motorola lists a slightly larger 6.8-inch screen and a 165Hz refresh rate; Nothing lists a 6.67-inch, 120Hz display. The Signature therefore has the larger and higher-refresh panel on paper. Whether that difference matters depends on your preference and the content or interface you use; these specifications do not establish brightness, color accuracy, or battery impact in comparative use.

Cameras

Nothing promotes four 50MP cameras, while Motorola describes a 50MP camera system. Camera counts and megapixel labels do not show how the phones compare in focus, dynamic range, low-light photos, video, or image processing. No controlled head-to-head results are established by the cited manufacturer sources, so there is no evidence-based camera winner here.

Charging

The Signature’s stated maximums—90W wired and 50W wireless—are higher than the Phone (3)’s listed 15W wireless charging. Nothing also claims a 1%-to-50% charge in under 20 minutes, but that figure is a manufacturer statement, not a directly comparable test against Motorola. Actual speed can depend on the charger, cable, temperature, and other conditions; verify accessory compatibility before buying a charger.

Storage, software support, and distinctive features

Motorola’s UK specification lists one memory-and-storage combination: 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Nothing’s 2025 launch terms list two Phone (3) configurations: 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB. For a direct hardware comparison, match the 16GB/512GB Phone (3) to the Signature’s listed configuration and check that both versions are actually available from the seller in your market.

Motorola’s launch announcement commits to up to seven OS updates and up to seven years of security updates from global launch. The retrieved Nothing product page does not state an equivalent support duration; that omission is not evidence that Nothing has no support policy.

Phone and price figure What the figure means
Nothing Phone (3): £549 Price displayed for the 12GB/256GB selection on Nothing’s UK product page when retrieved in 2026; see the live product page. Prices can change.
Nothing Phone (3): £799 for 12GB/256GB; £899 for 16GB/512GB UK launch RRPs in Nothing’s preorder terms, last updated 3 July 2025. These are historical launch prices, not the current displayed price.
Motorola Signature: €999 starting MSRP Regional launch MSRP for selected European countries, stated in Motorola’s launch announcement. It is not a current UK price or a global price.

Because there is no current Motorola UK price in the cited material, and the €999 launch MSRP applies only to selected European countries, these figures cannot establish a current UK price difference. For a fair local comparison, check both phones at the same time, in the same country, with matching storage where possible, and compare equivalent unlocked or contract offers from the same type of seller.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Consider the Motorola Signature if its listed 165Hz display, higher stated charging wattages, 16GB/512GB configuration, or published update commitment best match your priorities.
  • Consider the Nothing Phone (3) if you prefer its Glyph interface, value its four-camera configuration, or find its live price more attractive for the storage tier you need.
  • Wait for independent comparisons if your decision depends on camera quality, sustained performance, battery life, or charging time in real use; the official specifications alone do not settle those questions.
