Nothing Ear (stick) is a half-in-ear true wireless set for listeners who prefer earbuds that do not seal the ear canal. Nothing lists a 12.6 mm dynamic driver, press controls, and up to 7 hours of listening per charge, or up to 29 hours with the case. It has no active noise cancellation (ANC) and no wireless charging. Whether it suits you depends especially on how its open, half-in-ear shape fits your ears; Nothing itself cautions that fit varies by ear shape.
What Nothing Ear (stick) offers
Ear (stick) is a half-in-ear design: it rests at the entrance of the ear rather than forming the in-ear seal used by many earbuds. Nothing lists a 12.6 mm dynamic driver, AAC and SBC codecs, Bluetooth 5.2, three microphones in each earbud, and press controls. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent findings about sound, call quality, or responsiveness. Nothing’s official product page has the published specifications.
Nothing lists compatibility with Android 5.1 or later and iOS 11 or later, as well as Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. The product page notes platform-specific support qualifications, so not every setup or feature should be assumed to work identically across devices.

There is no universal answer: Nothing says differences in ear shape can make the earbuds feel too large or too small. The company recommends pressing gently and rotating each earbud slightly to find a position. That is a fit adjustment, not a guarantee that the shape will suit every listener.

Nothing says the design was informed by hundreds of rounds of ergonomic testing, but that manufacturer statement cannot establish how comfortable or secure the buds will feel to you. If you need an earbud to form a seal, or if half-in-ear buds commonly loosen in your ears, the fit is a meaningful reason to try them before relying on them for long sessions or exercise.
Battery life and charging claims
Nothing advertises up to 7 hours of listening from the earbuds and up to 29 hours total with the charging case. These are maximum manufacturer figures, not independent test results. Nothing says its battery tests used internal laboratory results at 25°C and music playback at 50% volume; actual life can vary with volume, calls, audio source, interference, features, habits, and other conditions.

Water and dust resistance
Nothing rates the earbuds IP54 for dust and water resistance; the charging case is not rated. The company says the rating was achieved on June 5, 2022, in TÜV SÜD testing under IEC 60529:1989, A1:1999, and A2:2013. Nothing cautions that resistance can decline as the product ages and says liquid or dust damage is excluded from its stated warranty coverage. Treat IP54 as a limited rating for the earbuds, not protection for the whole set or a reason to expose either part to water unnecessarily.

Should you buy Nothing Ear (stick)?
Ear (stick) is worth considering if you specifically want a half-in-ear fit and value the stated battery life and simple press controls. It is a weaker match if you need ANC, Qi charging, or a sealed in-ear fit. Because comfort and security depend on your ears—and independent sound, microphone, and battery testing is not established here—Nothing’s specifications alone cannot settle how it will perform for you.
