North Wales Police are urging the mother of a newborn girl found dead on the Menai Strait shoreline near Siliwen Road in Bangor to contact a dedicated police line. The force says a specialist is available for a confidential, compassionate conversation and to help arrange any medical attention or support she may need. The phone number is not available in the reporting reviewed here, so use a current North Wales Police announcement to obtain it rather than relying on an unverified number.
What police are asking the mother to do
Supt Llinos Davies said: “We understand that you may be scared to come forward, but we urge you to contact us.” She said the mother’s welfare and safety remain a priority, and that police want her to receive any medical attention and support she may need.
Davies described the specialist’s role as “simply to listen, understand, and help.” She also said: “This is not a conversation you need to be afraid of. You will be treated with compassion, dignity and respect.” North Wales Police say the conversation can be confidential. The published report does not include the dedicated line’s number; check the force’s current official appeal for contact details.
What witnesses and local walkers can share
Police asked anyone who routinely walked in the Siliwen Road or Ashley Fields areas of Bangor between 30 August and 27 September to come forward. They also want relevant photos or videos taken around the Menai Strait shoreline in Siliwen during that period, for submission through the force’s major incident public portal. The portal address is not available in the report, so obtain the upload link from North Wales Police.
