The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G is the newer phone, with a different chipset and a slightly larger 120 Hz AMOLED display; the headline rear-camera resolutions match the Nord CE 4 5G. There is no dependable universal price winner in the checked listings, and the CE 5 battery capacity differs between India-oriented listings and a UK review. Compare the exact regional model, storage configuration, stock and seller before choosing.
What changed from the Nord CE 4 to the Nord CE 5?
OnePlus released the Nord CE 4 in April 2024 and the Nord CE 5 in July 2025, according to 91mobiles’ comparison. The newer model changes the chipset and display dimensions, while the listed camera resolutions remain the same.

The specifications and release dates in this table are those shown by 91mobiles unless another source is named; its software entries are listed versions, not confirmation of each phone’s current update state. The battery figures for the CE 5 come from conflicting regional sources and are not a single settled worldwide specification.
Which phone is faster?
The CE 4 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the CE 5 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Apex. 91mobiles reports higher benchmark scores for the CE 5 in its comparison. That is evidence of stronger results in the tests reported on that page, not a guarantee that every app, game or everyday task will feel faster. Performance also depends on the specific workload and software.

Are the displays and cameras different?
Both phones are listed with AMOLED panels and 120 Hz refresh rates. The CE 5’s listed panel is 6.77 inches, compared with 6.7 inches on the CE 4; their listed resolutions are 1080 × 2392 and 1080 × 2412, respectively. The CE 5 is marginally larger, but the resolution figures alone do not establish which screen looks better in person.
The comparison lists the same headline camera setup for each: a 50 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera and a 16 MP front camera. Matching megapixel counts do not prove matching image quality. The checked comparison does not establish a winner through independently tested image-quality results, so choose based on sample photos or a relevant hands-on review if camera performance is decisive.

What is the price difference?
The available price listings do not support one reliable current price difference. Smartprix lists the CE 4 at ₹32,499 and the CE 5 at ₹34,999; its product details are marked updated September 29, 2026. Those are listing prices, not guaranteed offers. Check the Smartprix listing against the seller and configuration before treating either figure as an offer.
91mobiles shows ₹24,999 for the CE 4 and ₹22,500 for the CE 5 in its comparison header, but marks both phones out of stock; its detailed table says prices are unavailable in any store. Treat these as a conflicting listing snapshot, not a quote you can use to buy either phone. The two India-oriented pages cannot be reconciled without matching seller, storage configuration and timing.

For UK context only, TechRadar reported CE 5 list prices at review time of £299 for 128 GB and £349 for 256 GB, and a July 8, 2025 launch. Those UK prices are not directly comparable to rupee listings, and the cited review does not establish a matching CE 4 price comparison.
How should you compare battery and charging?
The CE 4 is listed with a 5,500 mAh battery, while CE 5 capacity depends on which regional source is consulted: 91mobiles and Smartprix list 7,100 mAh, whereas TechRadar’s review of the UK model lists 5,200 mAh. The evidence does not resolve that discrepancy. Check the exact regional model and its manufacturer or seller specification before comparing capacity.

The 91mobiles comparison lists 100W SuperVOOC wired charging for the CE 4 and 80W SuperVOOC for the CE 5. Charging wattage describes the listed charging capability; it does not by itself establish real-world charging time or battery endurance. The checked sources do not provide a controlled endurance comparison that can settle which phone lasts longer in the same conditions.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Nord CE 5 if: you want the newer chipset and slightly larger display, and can confirm a suitable price and regional specification.
- Consider the Nord CE 4 if: you find it available at a meaningfully lower price and its specifications meet your needs. Its listed wired charging rate is higher, but price and availability need checking at purchase time.
- Wait or compare alternatives if: the only CE 4 or CE 5 listing you find has unclear regional specifications, uncertain stock, or a price that cannot be confirmed by the seller.
Before paying, verify the country-specific model, storage capacity, live stock and final seller price. For the CE 5 in particular, confirm the battery specification for that exact model rather than assuming that an India-oriented listing or UK review applies worldwide. Also check the current software version and included accessories for the offer you are considering.
