Nomion Games has named Croatian 3D artist Space Meerkat art director of Rush is Real, an upcoming shooter for PC and consoles. The October 1, 2026 announcement also offered an initial look at the game’s visual direction: industrial concrete and brutalist architecture, with science-fiction influences layered on top.
What Nomion Games has revealed
Reports by But Why Tho? and Inven Global say Space Meerkat joined Nomion Games as art director of Rush is Real. The studio also shared an initial look at the project. The reports describe it as an upcoming shooter for PC and consoles; they do not establish a more specific platform list.
How the game is meant to look
Space Meerkat described the priority as “Industrial first, futuristic second.” In his account to But Why Tho? and Inven Global, raw concrete and brutalist forms are meant to anchor the world, with cyberpunk and science-fiction elements added without allowing neon futurism to overwhelm the industrial setting.

Urban references, not confirmed locations
Inven Global quoted Space Meerkat describing the team’s reference points: “We will take city layouts from Chongqing and Hong Kong, clothing styles from Tokyo, and architecture from Seoul.” These are stated visual references; they do not confirm that the game depicts those cities or reproduces their environments faithfully. The coverage characterizes the broader style as drawing on Asian and Eastern European influences.

Verticality with a gameplay purpose
The dense, layered environments are intended to affect exploration as well as appearance. Space Meerkat told But Why Tho? that different levels within a large structure could offer different loot and exploration possibilities. He described the relationship between the two as: “The systems and the world don’t conflict with each other — on the contrary, they reinforce one another.”
What remains unknown about Rush is Real
The reports do not disclose the game’s core mechanic or a release date. Space Meerkat said the undisclosed mechanic was among the things that attracted him to the project, while Nomion’s head of PR told Inven Global that more details would be shared later. No specific launch timeline or additional platform information is established in that coverage.
