Neither Nominalia nor GoDaddy is a proven overall winner: the available official pages support a comparison of advertised plans, not a matched test of speed or reliability. In the euro-market pricing shown, Nominalia lists more NVMe storage per displayed tier, while GoDaddy’s tiers list more hosted websites at the upper levels. Their entry offers also use different stated billing conditions, and their backup schedules differ. Choose by the plan limits and restore points you need, then compare the final price and renewal terms for your country.
What the displayed plans cost and include
The providers’ retrieved English pages show promotional euro prices, not guaranteed future rates. Nominalia marks its listed monthly prices as plus VAT; GoDaddy’s Economy price is expressly for the first one-year term. Check the live checkout for your country, taxes, billing term, renewal price, and any plan-specific conditions.
| Provider and plan | Displayed price | Websites | NVMe storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nominalia Starter | €2.50/month plus VAT | 1 | 50 GB |
| Nominalia Advanced | €4.17/month plus VAT | 5 | 200 GB |
| Nominalia Expert | €7.09/month plus VAT | 10 | 500 GB |
| GoDaddy Economy | €2.19/month for the first one-year term | 1 | 25 GB |
| GoDaddy Deluxe | €7.49/month | 10 | 50 GB |
| GoDaddy Ultimate | €9.99/month | 25 | 75 GB |
Nominalia’s listed prices are each marked as 75% off a higher displayed rate. GoDaddy displays higher prices of €10.99 for Economy, €15.99 for Deluxe, and €19.99 for Ultimate. These are page displays, not a substitute for checking the renewal total and term in your own cart. The GoDaddy page specifies the first one-year term for Economy; do not assume that billing condition applies identically to its other listed prices.
Nominalia: fewer sites on upper tiers, more listed storage
Nominalia presents Starter for one website, Advanced for multiple websites or e-commerce, and Expert for larger sites. Its plan matrix also lists progressively larger database, email, and cache allowances. It describes Linux hosting, names PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, and MySQL, and cites WordPress, PrestaShop, and Joomla as examples of supported applications. The page lists SSL, unlimited traffic, email, NVMe SSD storage, and automatic backups among shared-plan features.
#1 Best Overall
GoDaddy: more listed sites on upper tiers
GoDaddy’s regional page lists cPanel, Node.js, a free domain, free email, and SSL, with some differences between tiers and SSL terms. It lists unmetered bandwidth across its plans. Confirm the exact inclusions and terms for the plan and country selected rather than treating broad feature labels as identical across tiers.
How the backup schedules differ
Nominalia describes backups as hourly. Its matrix shows a last-12-hours restore window for Starter and Advanced, and a last-24-hours window for Expert. GoDaddy describes automatic daily backups that can recover the account from the previous day. These statements describe different schedules and restore windows; neither alone establishes retention duration, restore limits, or the full recovery process.
Rank #2
If recovery point matters to your business, check how long backups are retained, how many restores are allowed, whether restores are self-service or handled by support, and whether files and databases are both covered. Keep a separate backup under your own control for critical sites.
Security, support and uptime claims
Nominalia
Nominalia describes Security Shield as scanning daily for infected files and vulnerabilities and says it helps keep sites online during DDoS attacks. Its page advertises support by chat, telephone, and ticket. These are provider descriptions, not independent security testing or a measured support-quality comparison.
Rank #3
GoDaddy
GoDaddy advertises a 99.9% uptime guarantee and says its data centers are in North America and Europe. It also claims up to 2x faster performance, with a caveat that actual results vary by region. Treat these as GoDaddy’s claims, not as measured uptime or a head-to-head speed result. Its comparison help page describes 24/7 network security and DDoS protection; it also says shared resources can be affected by other tenants and that shared cPanel hosting does not provide root access. Plan details may vary by market and offer.
Which host fits your needs?
- Choose by storage: Nominalia’s displayed plans list 50, 200, and 500 GB, compared with 25, 50, and 75 GB on GoDaddy’s displayed Economy, Deluxe, and Ultimate plans. Check your expected media, backups, mail, and database use against the plan’s actual storage rules.
- Choose by website count: Nominalia lists 1, 5, and 10 websites; GoDaddy lists 1, 10, and 25. If you run several small sites, the site limit may matter more than the storage gap. Confirm whether the limit covers the domains and sites you intend to host.
- Choose by restore point: Nominalia advertises hourly backups with plan-dependent 12- or 24-hour windows; GoDaddy advertises daily backups with recovery from the previous day. Verify retention and restore conditions before relying on either for recovery.
- Choose by software and control: Nominalia describes a Linux stack and names common programming languages and CMSs. GoDaddy’s page lists cPanel and Node.js; its shared-hosting help page says root access is not provided. Check the specific versions and configuration options your application requires.
- Choose by final cost, not the headline offer: compare the same country, tax treatment, billing duration, and renewal period. Nominalia’s listed prices are plus VAT, while GoDaddy’s Economy offer is explicitly for an initial one-year term. The separate Nominalia domain-price schedule does not establish hosting renewal prices.
What the evidence does—and does not—settle
The official pages establish advertised plan features and claims, but do not provide a matched independent benchmark showing which host is faster or more reliable. GoDaddy’s 99.9% guarantee is a contractual marketing claim, not a measurement of realized uptime. There is therefore no evidence-based universal winner here; the practical choice depends on your country’s checkout price, site and storage needs, technology requirements, and backup expectations.
