Noematica: Digital Dollhouse is an announced urban life simulation from Asphodel Cybernetics. Steam lists it for 2027 and says it is not yet available. Its headline claim is a promise in the store description: “Listen: Noematica will NEVER charge you for DLC.” Nothing about the game has been tested in a released build, so the systems and the promise are both still intentions.
What Noematica is
The Steam page describes Noematica as an urban life simulation, with the “digital dollhouse” in the subtitle. Coverage from Rock Paper Shotgun on October 5, 2026 framed it as a Sims-like game. That is an analogy used by press. The official listing calls it a life simulation and does not name The Sims as its genre.
Players manage customizable characters called “Noems.” The developer says they have autonomous behavior, memories, fantasies and physical needs. The page also describes customizable homes and neighborhoods, public health and public works, social relationships, and politics between groups. These are intended systems, not features anyone has demonstrated.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsMemory instead of a skill number
The most distinctive design claim is about competence. The developer says a Noem’s ability is shaped by remembered experiences and circumstances, not by one abstract skill score. How that works in play, and how readable or controllable it is, cannot be judged yet.

- Escape to Forgotten Hollow
- Live the Immortal Life
The no-DLC promise
The Steam description says the studio intends to:
- release one complete game at full price;
- support in-game tools and community-made modifications;
- make assets interoperable;
- backport core engine changes to previous Noematica projects where technically possible.
The developers also write: “A game with ten expansions is invariably very muddled.” That is their opinion in the store copy, not an established fact. The listing does not give an industry-wide comparison of expansion costs or player value, so this article makes none.
The promise is a stated plan, made before release. It has not been tested over time. The stated “full price” is also not a number: no price is listed. A reasonable way to read the claim is by what it covers. It addresses paid expansions, and it leans on mods for extra content. Whether the base game ships feeling complete is something only release can answer.

- Develop Parenting Skills – Level up your Sim’s parenting skills to satisfy their child’s needs and influence their behaviors. Gain new abilities through experience and choosing when to discipline bad actions, encourage good behavior, or just let kids be kids.
- Shape Your Sim’s Childhood – The decisions you make influence how your Sim parents and leave a lasting impact on their child’s future. Each choice shapes their personality, affects their traits, influences their family relationships, and guides their path into adulthood.
- Gather your Sim’s family to participate in new activities and spend quality time with each other. Sims of all ages can work together to complete a variety of school projects, express their creativity using construction blocks, or volunteer their time for good.
- Customize your Sims’ looks and their home with new family fashion and build items. Give the kids’ bedrooms extra personality, remodel the kitchen to feel homier, and let your Sims express their sporty or artistic sides with new outfits.
Release date and system requirements
| Item | What Steam lists (checked October 7, 2026) |
|---|---|
| Planned release | 2027 (no exact date) |
| Availability | Not yet available |
| Price | Not stated |
| OS | Windows 10 or later |
| CPU | Intel i3-14100 |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Intel A310 |
| Storage | 5 GB available |
These are listed as minimum requirements. The page says older hardware may run the game, with results varying. Both the timing and the requirements could change before launch. The modest graphics card suggests a low entry bar, but no performance data exists.
What is not known
- The exact launch date and the price.
- Any physical edition or special editions. None is listed.
- How the simulation plays, since no released build or hands-on report was reviewed.
- User opinion. The Steam page has no reviews yet.
The official developer website is a minimal landing page that points to the Steam page and the project’s social accounts. Those are the places to check for updates.
Rank #3

- Rule your story: Build a powerful Dynasty, shape shared Values, choose an Heir, or exile family members in a deep life simulation driven by legacy, prestige, and choice.
- Claim the crown: Rise through Nobility by winning the people, pleasing rival Nobles, dueling with swords, or exposing Scandals that can change the balance of power.
- Scandal fuels drama: Forbidden romances, secret children, and public disgrace can impact careers, relationships, Dynasty Prestige, and Noble Favor.
The Bottom Line
Noematica is worth watching if you want a life sim built around memory-driven characters and a no-paid-DLC model. Treat it as a 2027 plan: the promise is credible only once the game ships and the studio keeps to it afterward.
