Nocturne, a rhythm-driven RPG from Pracy Studios, launched on Steam on September 22, 2026. A Steam snapshot from October 7 showed 396 user reviews, 99% positive—a strong early reception, though reviews alone do not establish sales or player numbers. The headline’s comparison to Hi-Fi Rush is best understood as a rhythm-combat point of reference: the available details describe Nocturne as an RPG with music-led battles, not as a close match in story or presentation.
What kind of game is Nocturne?
Steam categorizes Nocturne as Adventure, Indie, and RPG. Its central hook is skill-based rhythm combat paired with familiar role-playing systems. The developer describes the design goal as combining both genres while keeping rhythm gameplay at its core: “From the beginning, Nocturne was always meant to blend RPG and Rhythm.” The developer’s Steam launch announcement also says player agency in combat was expanded after feedback on an earlier demo.
The “like Hi-Fi Rush” label should not be taken as evidence that the games share a story, visual style, or broader structure. The confirmed overlap here is the use of rhythm in combat; the available descriptions do not establish a closer comparison.

According to Pracy Studios’ Steam listing, Nocturne combines battles with progression and exploration systems. The listed elements include:

Pracy Studios’ Steam listing advertises a story of more than 100,000 words, 101 playable tracks, and a campaign lasting 10 or more hours. These are figures supplied by the developer on its store page, rather than independently measured totals. The listing also says the game has six difficulty options for newcomers and experienced rhythm-game players.

Is Nocturne already a massive hit?
Steam’s October 7, 2026 snapshot showed 396 user reviews, 99% of them positive. That supports describing the game as having a very positive early user-review reception on Steam. The rating and review count can change, and they do not show how many copies the game has sold, how much revenue it has earned, or how many people are playing concurrently. The available sources provide no verified sales, revenue, or active-player totals.
Where can you get it, and what extras are available?
Nocturne is listed as a Steam release. The store page also lists a Supporter Pack and soundtrack. In its launch announcement, the developer says additions beyond the base game—including Supporters Pack and Digital Deluxe extras—are cosmetic.
