The Noble FoKus Amadeus is a premium pair of true wireless earbuds whose standout strengths, according to two reviewers, are comfort and an engaging sound. The trade-off is noise cancellation: TechRadar found it weak for the price, while Pocket Gamer’s reviewer praised it. If you want long stated battery life, extensive app-based sound tuning and a fit that may suit long listening sessions, the Amadeus is worth considering; if powerful ANC is your priority, compare it carefully with alternatives.

What are the Noble FoKus Amadeus earbuds?

The FoKus Amadeus are Noble’s true wireless in-ear earbuds with active noise cancellation (ANC), touch controls and the Noble FoKus app. TechRadar reported a June 2025 release and launch pricing of $320, £299.99 or approximately AU$615. Those are historical review prices, not a current quote; check local retailers for today’s price and availability.

TechRadar’s reviewer tested the earbuds for six weeks, mainly using Bandcamp and Spotify on a Samsung Galaxy S23, and also with an HP Pavilion laptop. The listening impressions below are that reviewer’s experience, not independent laboratory measurements.

What do you get for the price?

TechRadar’s published specifications describe a feature-rich set of earbuds. The figures below are the review’s stated specifications, rather than independently measured results.

#1 Best Overall
Noble Audio FoKus Amadeus True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth in-Ear Headphones with Microphone, Sound Personalization
  • Audiodo Personal Sound – music, matched to you Following the huge success of the FoKus Rex5, Audiodo Personal Sound has been integrated into another FoKus series product. This advanced hearing calibration software analyses the listener’s hearing in each ear and builds a personalised sound profile. Once set up, that profile is stored directly on the earbuds and applied across all devices – no app required for everyday use.
  • Next-generation performance with the latest Bluetooth 5.4 Built around Qualcomm’s QCC3091 chipset and equipped with Bluetooth 5.4, the FoKus Amadeus ensures high-resolution playback and low-latency performance. It supports SBC, AAC, aptX Adaptive, and LDAC, giving users access to excellent audio quality whether streaming podcasts, music or video.
  • Real-world features such as TrueWireless Mirroring and multi-point pairing come as standard, while touch-sensitive controls make day-to-day use easy and intuitive. Dual microphones with cVc noise cancelling ensure excellent voice pick-up for calls and virtual meetings, even in less than ideal surroundings.
Feature TechRadar’s listed specification
Driver 8.3 mm triple-layer driver, described in the review as ceramic, titanium and PEEK
Frequency range 20 Hz–20 kHz
Bluetooth and codecs Bluetooth 5.4; SBC, AAC, LDAC and aptX Adaptive
Battery Up to 12 hours from the earbuds with ANC off; up to 42 hours with the charging case
Quick charge TechRadar reports that a 10-minute charge provides two hours of playback
Controls and app Capacitive touch controls, voice-assistant support and the Noble FoKus app
Dimensions and weight 17 × 25 × 25 mm; 8.6 g per pair of earbuds and a 55.5 g case, as presented in TechRadar’s table
Charging USB-C

Battery life will vary with listening volume, codecs, ANC and other settings. The 12-hour figure is specifically listed for ANC off, so it should not be read as a guaranteed runtime with noise cancellation enabled.

Are the FoKus Amadeus comfortable?

Comfort is the most consistent strength across the available reviews, though it remains personal: ear shape, tip choice and how a bud sits all affect the fit. TechRadar’s James Grimshaw praised the asymmetric housing and angled drivers, and reported that the earbuds felt secure. The package includes three sizes each of single-flanged and double-flanged tips; Grimshaw preferred the medium double-flanged pair. Pocket Gamer’s Jupiter Hadley also described them as lightweight and comfortable, reporting that they felt almost unnoticeable during use.

Noble Audio FoKus Rex5 True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth in-Ear Headphones with Microphone, Sound Personalization(Green)
  • Wireless Freedom: Experience true wireless stereo with these Bluetooth in-ear headphones, allowing you to move freely without the hassle of tangled cords.
  • Personalized Sound: Customize your audio experience with the sound personalization feature, tailoring the sound to your unique hearing profile.
  • Clear Calls: Built-in microphone ensures crystal-clear voice communication during calls, enabling hands-free convenience.
  • Compact Design: Sleek and lightweight in-ear form factor provides a comfortable and secure fit for extended listening sessions.
  • Long-Lasting Battery: Enjoy uninterrupted music playback or calls with the headphones' impressive battery life.

Those experiences make the Amadeus promising for listeners who struggle with bulky earbuds, but they cannot guarantee a comfortable or secure fit for every ear. If possible, buy from a retailer with a suitable return policy so you can test the included tips yourself.

How do the FoKus Amadeus sound?

TechRadar’s reviewer heard a warm, cushioned low end, with plucky treble transients that gave the stock tuning an engaging character. The same reviewer found that bass could sometimes take up too much space and that the upper range could lack width. Those are listening impressions, not objective properties that every listener will perceive the same way.

Noble Audio FoKus Rex5 True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth in-Ear Headphones with Microphone, Sound Personalization (Black)

The app offers a graphic equalizer, sound curves, presets and Audiodo Personal EQ. The personal-EQ feature uses a hearing-calibration process to tailor playback; it is an audio-personalization feature, not a medical hearing test. Grimshaw tried it but preferred the music presentation without the resulting curve. Pocket Gamer also describes sound personalization through a hearing test. The option to adjust sound is useful, but whether its presets or personalized profile improve your listening will depend on your preferences.

How good is the ANC?

The two reviews disagree, so noise cancellation is the biggest reason to try the Amadeus before committing if ANC matters to you. TechRadar’s reviewer called ANC lacklustre after listening on a bus and at home, and reported a high noise floor in Ambient mode. That reviewer still found passive isolation from the ear tips good. Pocket Gamer’s Hadley, by contrast, described the noise cancelling as great. These are different subjective reports, not a controlled comparison, and they do not establish a single experience for all listeners.

Belkin SoundForm Rhythm ANC True Wireless Earbuds, 28H Battery
  • ALL DAY BATTERY + FAST CHARGING: 8 hours of life per earbud plus 20 hours in their case totals a 28-hour battery life, allowing for all day use, from school to the gym and more! Plus, just 10 minutes of USB C fast charging yields 90 minutes of playtime.
  • BLUETOOTH MULTIPOINT 2-DEVICE CONNECTION: Bluetooth 5.4 provides connection to compatible devices in just seconds from up to 30 feet away, while multipoint technology lets you switch back and forth between a call on your laptop and music on your phone.
  • CLEAR CALL QUALITY: These wireless earbuds are engineered with 4-mic premium technology (2 mics per earbud) to ensure a clear call every time, with background noise being reduced so your voice can be heard more clearly during calls.
  • ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING FOR IMMERSIVE SOUND: With built-in ANC, these wireless earbuds block out background noise, so you can focus on music, podcasts, or calls—even in noisy environments. Includes ANC, HearThru, and Standard listening modes.
  • BELKIN SIGNATURE SOUND + 3 EQ PRESETS: Enjoy full, rich audio with 10mm drivers tuned in our California audio lab. Three EQ presets—Belkin Signature Sound, Bass Boost, and Balanced—let you personalize your listening experience.

If reducing travel or office noise is your main reason for buying premium earbuds, compare the Amadeus with the Sony WF-1000XM5 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, which TechRadar names as alternatives. Check current local prices and compare ANC, fit, sound, battery claims, codec support and app controls rather than relying on the Amadeus’s 2025 review-era comparisons.

Are the touch controls easy to use?

The earbuds use capacitive taps, but TechRadar’s reviewer found the control scheme difficult to internalize: similar double- and triple-tap gestures perform different tasks depending on which earbud you use. Pocket Gamer describes a left/right division between volume and ANC functions on one side and playback and voice controls on the other. The Noble FoKus app allows customization, which may help you arrange the controls around the actions you use most.

Noble Audio FoKus Prestige Encore The Best Truly Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds,Bluetooth in-Ear Headphones,Sound Personalization,10-Minute Fast Charge,Black
  • [Acoustic upgrade: speed and separation] The Fokus Prestige Encore moves to a three-way hybrid driver configuration featuring: 8mm dynamic driver for rich, authoritative bass. Dual Knowles balanced armatures for midrange clarity and texture. New 6mm planar magnetic driver to extend treble air, increase transient speed, and reveal microdetail.
  • [Wireless done right]The Encore runs on the Snapdragon S3 Gen 1 Sound Platform, supporting the latest generation of high-resolution codecs: aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LDAC, AAC, and SBC. This allows listeners to stream in bit-perfect quality where supported, while Bluetooth 5.4, multipoint pairing, and TrueWireless Mirroring ensure stable connections and effortless switching between devices. For calls and conferencing, dual-mic cVc noise suppression reduces environmental noise without overly processing the natural tone of the voice, maintaining clarity in professional and casual settings alike.
  • [Longer listening, more comfort]The endurance with 65mAh cells in each bud and a 500mAh wireless charging case, offering up to 10 hours of playback (ANC off) or 7 hours (ANC on), with a total of 35 hours including the case. A 10-minute quick charge provides around 2 hours of listening, keeping users moving with minimal downtime. The housings and charging case are CNC-machined entirely from solid wood, not just a decorative plate, but full wooden construction. Each piece displays its own natural wood grain, ensuring that no two Encores look exactly the same. Combined with a smaller, lighter geometry, this makes for a premium finish and a secure, fatigue-free fit during long sessions.
  • [Smarter sound, tailored to the listener]Building on Noble’s integration of Audiodo Personal Sound in the Rex5 and Amadeus, the Encore offers refined per-ear calibration with on-device profile storage. After a one-time test, personalised frequency adjustments are written into the IEMs themselves, meaning your profile follows you across all devices — no app dependency once it’s set.

Should you buy the Noble FoKus Amadeus?

The Amadeus makes the strongest case for someone who values a potentially comfortable fit, a warm and adjustable sound, broad codec support and generous stated battery life. Its June 2025 launch price placed it in premium territory, but that figure is historical; the value calculation today depends on the price you can actually find and how well the fit and tuning work for you.

ANC is the key uncertainty rather than a settled strength: TechRadar was disappointed, while Pocket Gamer was impressed. TechRadar rated the earbuds 4.5/5 for features, 4.5/5 for sound, 5/5 for design and 4.5/5 for value; those are that publication’s editorial scores, not objective measurements. Consider the Amadeus if comfort and sound customization are high on your list, but put alternatives on your shortlist if dependable noise cancellation is essential.
