The reported rise in Nintendo stock to €45.79, up 2.81% before the market opened, cannot be confirmed from the available quote record. Nintendo’s official listing is on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, while the euro-denominated prices cited here are from separate European trading venues. Without the original quote’s venue, timestamp, and comparison price, the headline figure should be treated as an unverified report—not a confirmed current price or market move.

Is Nintendo stock really up 2.81% to €45.79?

The exact combination of a 2.81% gain and a €45.79 price was not corroborated by the available quote result. A MarketScreener result for Nintendo on Tradegate displayed €44.55 and a decline of 0.89% at the time represented by that result, rather than the headline’s figures. Because quote pages change over time, that separate reading does not prove what Nintendo traded at when the headline was published; it also should not be substituted as the headline’s price.

To verify the reported move, a reader would need a historical quote matching the headline’s observation time. It should identify the trading venue, timestamp and time zone, whether the price was indicative or executable, and the prior price used to calculate the percentage change. Those details are not established for the €45.79 figure.

Why can Nintendo have different prices in euros and yen?

Nintendo Co., Ltd. is listed in Japan as stock code 7974 on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. Nintendo’s official share-status page reports these details as of March 31, 2026, and says the trading unit is 100 shares: Nintendo’s status of shares. Its official FAQ says the Prime Market listing began when the Tokyo Stock Exchange restructuring took effect on April 4, 2022: Nintendo’s stock FAQ.

A euro-denominated quote for Nintendo on Tradegate or Deutsche Boerse is a quote from a European venue, not the Tokyo-listed yen price. MarketScreener’s separate Tradegate quote page and Deutsche Boerse quote page illustrate why venue matters; prices can differ across venues and currencies. Before comparing two figures, align the exchange or venue, currency, timestamp and time zone, reference price, and quote status (such as live, delayed, indicative, or after-hours).

What is Nintendo’s stock ticker?

Nintendo’s official Japanese stock code is 7974. The company identifies its shares as listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. The euro quotes discussed above use venue-specific quote labels; they do not change Nintendo’s official Japanese stock code.

Why is Nintendo stock up today?

The available information does not establish a cause for the reported move. It contains no verified news catalyst or official company statement explaining a 2.81% gain. Nor does it connect the reported price change to a particular announcement. Nintendo’s investor-relations calendar lists FY2026 full-year results for May 8, 2026, and FY2027 first-quarter results for August 6, 2026, but those dates alone do not show that either event caused this movement: Nintendo’s IR events calendar.

What Nintendo’s official share figures do—and do not—show

Nintendo reported 1,287,260,000 outstanding shares as of March 31, 2026, alongside its listing and trading-unit information on its official share-status page. That is company share-count context, not evidence confirming the reported euro price or percentage change.
