Nintendo Music is included with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership at no extra charge. You need a Nintendo Account, but not a Nintendo Switch console: listen in the Nintendo Music mobile app or on a computer browser, where the service is available. Regional availability and device features vary, so check those before you sign up.
What’s included with Nintendo Music?
Nintendo Music is a growing library of music from Nintendo games. You can search for tracks, browse by game series or character, listen to soundtracks and curated playlists, and build playlists of your own. Nintendo has described playlists organized around game titles, characters, and battle music.
The catalog includes music from newer games such as Mario Kart World, Pikmin 4, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Splatoon 3, as well as older games such as Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Country, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. These are examples, not a complete catalog; Nintendo does not provide a catalog-size figure in the cited product information. See Nintendo’s Nintendo Music page and the Google Play listing for current details.

- Listen online or offline: Stream music or download it in the app for offline listening.
- Keep music playing: The mobile app supports background playback.
- Manage game spoilers: Spoiler controls can hide music from selected games.
- Extend selected tracks: Some tracks can be set to play for 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Discover more music: Nintendo describes recommendations based on play history and notifications when soundtracks are added.
Features are not identical across platforms. Nintendo says the browser player does not include My Mix or some app functions such as the sleep timer. The web player is for computers, not smart devices.

Do you need Nintendo Switch Online?
Yes. Nintendo Music is a Nintendo Switch Online membership benefit, not a separate music subscription. You need an active membership and a Nintendo Account. The membership is sold separately, so there is no additional Nintendo Music charge, but you must pay for or otherwise qualify for Nintendo Switch Online access. See Nintendo’s local Nintendo Switch Online page for current plans, prices, and terms; they vary by country.
A family membership can let other members of the family group use Nintendo Music. Nintendo of Canada says its family membership can be shared with up to seven other members; confirm local plan terms on Nintendo’s page for your region.

How to get access
- Check regional availability. Nintendo Music is not offered in every country. Consult Nintendo’s supported-region list before proceeding.
- Get a Nintendo Account and active Nintendo Switch Online membership. The service is included with membership rather than sold as its own subscription. Nintendo’s Canadian page says an eligible free trial may also be used to try Nintendo Music; trial eligibility and renewal terms vary, so check the local offer before starting.
- Choose how to listen. Install the Nintendo Music app from your device’s app store, or sign in to the web player on a computer. You do not need a Switch console.
- Check device compatibility. The Google Play listing specifies Android 9.0 or later. The sources cited here do not establish a universal iOS minimum, so check the current App Store compatibility details for your device.
