Night Plane is a single-player horror job simulator set aboard a doomed passenger flight in 1999. You play a first-day flight attendant handling boarding, tickets, refreshments and passenger requests while looking for shape-shifting entities that may have slipped onto the plane. Insider Gaming featured the game in its October 1, 2026 28 Games Later horror showcase.
What is Night Plane?
Night Plane combines routine airline work with psychological horror. The advertised scenario begins like an ordinary first shift at Plane Airlines: board passengers, check tickets, serve drinks and assist people in their seats. The danger is that some apparent passengers may be non-human impostors. Your job includes identifying those unauthorized visitors and removing them.
The setting is a passenger aircraft in 1999, and the flight is described as doomed. That contrast between repetitive customer service and an escalating supernatural threat is the central gameplay premise.
How the gameplay is expected to work
Manage normal cabin duties
The listed tasks include welcoming passengers, checking tickets, serving refreshments and responding to their needs. These duties establish the simulation side of the game and create the routine you must maintain under pressure.

Shape-shifting entities can attempt to board. You must assess who belongs on the aircraft and act against visitors who are not authorized to be there. Promotional material presents mistakes as consequential and says decisions are irreversible, so the game is built around judgment rather than simple combat.
Follow a branching story
Night Plane advertises character-driven narration and multiple endings. Steam also tags it as psychological horror, simulation, retro and “choices matter.” Those tags are store metadata, not independent reviews, but they indicate the intended blend of narrative decisions, work simulation and retro presentation.

Steam listed a planned PC release date of October 26, 2026. At the time of the listing information used for this article, the game was not yet available for purchase, but a downloadable demo was shown as available. Presentation and content notes
The game uses PSX-inspired visuals and voiced characters. Steam’s mature-content description mentions a plane crash and general mature language. Anyone sensitive to aviation-disaster imagery should take that warning into account.
