Which Nifty 50 stocks were reported among the top losers?

HCL Technologies ₹1,200 -3.5% Information technology
Max Healthcare ₹914 -2.9% Healthcare
HDFC Bank ₹704.60 -2.3% Banking

Why do reports show different prices and percentage falls?

These values were captured at different times and should not be combined as though they were one closing table. HDFC SKY’s separate snapshot, explicitly timed at 3:30 PM IST, reported the following figures:

Stock HDFC SKY price HDFC SKY change
HCL Technologies ₹1,201.90 -3.31%
Max Healthcare ₹917 -2.55%
Apollo Hospitals ₹7,985 -1.83%
Asian Paints ₹2,366 -1.70%
Infosys ₹1,020.50 -1.40%

ET Now’s October 5 liveblog excerpt gave yet another set of moves: HCL Technologies -3.23%, Asian Paints -2.31% and Max Healthcare -2.20%. Because the available excerpt also conflicts on the Nifty’s direction, those figures are best treated as a separate liveblog snapshot, not as a replacement for either timed list. In a moving market, report time and source matter when comparing intraday share prices.

Do the reports explain why these shares fell?

The listed reports establish which shares were reported lower and give snapshot prices and percentage changes, but do not establish a company-specific reason for every decline. A stock falling during an advancing index session does not, on its own, identify the cause of its move. The figures describe one session and are not a comparison of the companies as investments.
