Delaware quarterback Nick Minicucci was reported out for the October 2, 2026, game against Liberty with a leg injury. Liberty won 30-14 at Delaware Stadium. Delaware used three quarterbacks, and Minicucci’s precise diagnosis and return date were not confirmed in the cited reports.
Was Nick Minicucci playing against Liberty?
No. RotoWire reported on October 2 that Minicucci was out with a leg injury. He had been knocked out of Delaware’s Week 4 loss to Virginia and did not return. The Liberty matchup has since concluded: Delaware’s official box score records a 30-14 Liberty win.
The injury description varies by source. RotoWire called it a leg injury, while a September 30 Delaware News Journal report described a knee injury. Delaware head coach Ryan Carty did not confirm a diagnosis, saying, “We don’t discuss injuries or depth charts,” and, “It’s been our policy since I’ve been here, and so we’re preparing everybody to go win on Friday.” Kevin Tresolini reported the remarks in the Delaware News Journal on September 30.
Who played quarterback for Delaware?
Delaware rotated three quarterbacks in the loss. The official box score gives their passing lines:
