PC Gamer reported an Andromeda Insights Spectra RX 9070 XT gaming PC for $1,749.99 at Newegg on October 6, 2026. That is a dated offer, not confirmation that the price or stock is still available. Check the live listing, seller, shipping and checkout total before buying. The report does not establish that Newegg has the lowest comparable offer across every retailer.
What the Newegg offer included
PC Gamer’s October 6, 2026 deal report listed the Andromeda Insights Spectra at $1,749.99 with an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card and a Ryzen 5 9600X processor. The rest of the reported configuration was 16 GB of DDR5 memory, a 1 TB SSD and an 850 W Gold power supply. PC Gamer’s deal report described the price as the lowest its writer could find for an RX 9070 XT rig; that is the writer’s assessment, not a comprehensive retailer-wide price survey.
The configuration pairs a powerful graphics card with a comparatively modest amount of system memory and a lower-priced CPU than the Ryzen 7 9800X3D used in several higher-priced alternatives listed by Newegg. PC Gamer characterized 16 GB DDR5 and the CPU as compromises behind the lower price. Whether they matter depends on the games and applications you use, and on your willingness to upgrade later.

| System | Listed processor | Memory | Storage | Listed price and status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Andromeda Insights Spectra | Ryzen 5 9600X | 16 GB DDR5 | 1 TB SSD | $1,749.99, reported by PC Gamer October 6; live status not established |
| CyberPowerPC GM70929 | Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 32 GB DDR5 | 2 TB NVMe | $2,259.99, listed October 7 |
| ASUS GM700TZ-NS776 | Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 32 GB DDR5 | 1 TB NVMe | $2,019.99, marked back order October 7 |
| ABS Stratos Ruby | Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 32 GB DDR5 | 1 TB NVMe | $2,199.99, listed October 7 |
These listings show the trade-off in the available examples: the Spectra’s reported price is lower, while the other three list 32 GB of memory and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The ASUS listing was marked back order, so its displayed price did not mean it was immediately available. See Newegg’s RX 9070 XT gaming PC category for the listing context; verify current price, availability, seller and checkout costs before comparing or ordering.
Why graphics-card prices are not desktop prices
A graphics card bought on its own is not a prebuilt gaming PC. PC Gamer’s October 1, 2026 RX 9070 XT price roundup listed the card at $790.22 on Amazon and $799.99 at Newegg and Walmart, with a stated MSRP of $599. Those are dated prices reported by PC Gamer, not verified current checkout quotes. They provide GPU-price context only; they cannot be compared directly with the cost of a complete computer.

The roundup lists the RX 9070 XT with 16 GB of GDDR6, 4,096 shaders and a 2,970 MHz boost clock. Those specifications describe the graphics card, not the Spectra’s full system performance. The deal report’s description of RX 9070 XT prebuilts commonly costing more than $2,000 is also PC Gamer’s editorial observation, not a measured census of the market.

- Confirm that the Spectra listing is still live at the reported price, and note the seller and stock status.
- Compare the full checkout total, including shipping, rather than only the displayed price.
- Decide whether 16 GB of system memory and the Ryzen 5 9600X fit your use, or whether a higher-priced 32 GB configuration with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D is worth the difference.
- Check the warranty and seller terms for each listing; the cited category prices do not establish that these are equivalent.
PC Gamer’s deal report also quoted this sentence from a Ryzen 5 9600X review, attributing it only to “our Nick”: “The first delivery in the current Zen 5 family is fast and cool, and a little cheaper than its predecessor. Nothing wrong with that but you might want to temper your expectations a little.” The excerpt does not give Nick’s full name or role, so no more specific attribution is established.
