Newegg’s 2026 FantasTech Sale II runs October 5–11, overlapping Amazon Prime Big Deal Days on October 6–7. U.S. shoppers who buy an eligible, badge-marked item on Newegg.com between September 28 and October 4 can receive an automatic refund if that same item’s Newegg.com price drops by October 11. The protection does not cover a lower Amazon price.

Newegg’s FantasTech campaign page lists the sale dates and participating product categories. Tom’s Guide reported Amazon’s dates on October 2, 2026, in its Prime Big Deal Days coverage. Check the retailers’ current listings before buying because dates, stock and live prices can change.

How Newegg’s early-buyer price protection works
The offer is a limited Newegg.com price-protection program, not a guarantee that Newegg has the lowest price across retailers. If an eligible item’s price on Newegg.com falls between your qualifying early purchase and October 11, Newegg says it will automatically refund the qualifying difference to your original payment method by October 21. Its price-protection policy says no enrollment or claim form is required.
Check eligibility before checkout
- Open the individual product page and confirm it displays the FantasTech Price Protection badge. The offer is not storewide.
- Make the purchase on Newegg.com in the U.S. between September 28 and October 4, 2026. Newegg.ca purchases are not covered by this automatic offer.
- Watch the price of the same item on Newegg.com through October 11. A lower price at Amazon or another retailer does not qualify.
- If a qualifying Newegg price reduction occurs, Newegg says it will send one automatic refund to the original payment method by October 21. Only refund amounts greater than $1 are processed.
What the refund does—and does not—include
Newegg calculates the difference excluding applicable sales tax and loyalty or membership discounts. The policy excludes shipping, mail-in rebates, combo offers, free gifts, promotional gift cards, and items covered by Newegg’s Price Match Guarantee. Newegg also reserves the right to limit quantities, exclude bulk or NeweggBusiness purchases, and modify or discontinue the program.

The refund does not change the item’s return eligibility or return window. Check the product’s own return terms separately; price protection is not an extension of the return period.
How to compare Newegg and Amazon offers
The dates overlap, but the protection only applies to later price drops for the same eligible item on Newegg.com. It will not make up the difference if Amazon lists the item for less. Compare the offers on their actual purchase terms rather than assuming either event has the best price.

- Check the seller and stock. Confirm who sells the item, whether it is available to ship, and whether the listing is for the same condition and configuration.
- Read the return terms. Compare each retailer’s return eligibility and deadline independently of Newegg’s price-protection offer.
- Treat discount labels cautiously. A crossed-out reference price or percentage-off claim does not establish that an offer is the lowest current market price.
What products are included in the sale?
Newegg says FantasTech Sale II spans thousands of products and describes its assortment broadly as including PC hardware, consumer electronics, gaming peripherals and lifestyle technology. That does not confirm that any particular graphics card, storage device or other item is discounted—or that a listed deal is the best available. Verify the current offer and the protection badge on the product page.
Newegg Vice President of Product Management Jim Tseng described the program as: “Price Protection means you can shop early and still get the sale price. No calendar reminders, no refreshing the page at midnight, no stress.” That is Newegg’s description of its own program, not an independent assessment of savings.
