Renegade Game Studios’ October 2, 2026 Renegade Con recap revealed a 2027 Heroscape slate spanning three G.I. JOE products, remastered returning figures, seven new army expansions, and Toxic Wastelands terrain. The clearest tactical details are the terrain’s Defense Value penalties; most army announcements instead highlight units, abilities, and synergies. The recap does not give a complete price list or release calendar.
What Renegade revealed for Heroscape in 2027
The publisher’s October 2, 2026 reveal recap groups the announcements into licensed G.I. JOE additions, remastered figures and sets, new armies, and a terrain product. These are product descriptions from the publisher, not independent gameplay tests.
G.I. JOE vehicles and specialists
H.I.S.S. Tank Army Expansion
COBRA’s H.I.S.S. Tank comes with a choice of pilot and swappable miniatures. The recap calls out its Double Diablo Gun and Rip It Rush 11.
Mini Tank Armadillo Army
The JOE vehicle includes swappable miniatures, a Cluster Cannon Special Attack, Cover Girl, and Tank Movement.

Mission Specialists Army Expansion
This set pairs JOE characters Flint, Beachhead, and Gung-Ho with COBRA characters Major Bludd, Zartan, and Firefly, and includes a Remote Bomb Tech Glyph. Renegade says it requires a Heroscape Battle Box or Master Set and is compatible with all Heroscape releases.
Remastered Heroscape figures and sets
The recap also lists returning units and sets as remastered. Where compatibility is specified, it applies to the particular listing rather than automatically to every item in the new slate.

Toxic Wastelands of Valhalla Terrain adds toxic land, toxic water, and toxic rock outcrops. Renegade describes these effects:
- A figure on toxic land subtracts 1 from its Defense Value.
- A figure on toxic water subtracts 2 from its Defense Value.
- Toxic rock outcrops provide line-of-sight cover. Figures within one space of an outcrop subtract 1 from their Defense Value.
These are the most explicit battlefield modifiers in the recap. The announcement does not provide further setup guidance or rule clarifications beyond those descriptions.
