Netflix says The Conjuring: Unspoken, a narrative paranormal-investigation game for TV, is planned for release on October 13, 2026. Players use a phone as both controller and in-game investigation tool; watching the films first is optional. Availability depends on Netflix’s TV-game beta, supported devices, and country.
What is The Conjuring: Unspoken?
Netflix announced The Conjuring: Unspoken on October 6, 2026. It is an interactive, couch-based story set in The Conjuring franchise, rather than a film or a separately described retail game. You play demonologist Francesca Noakes as she investigates the Red Lion Inn. Dialogue choices shape the story.

The phone is part of the gameplay: players use it to operate investigation tools, including an electromagnetic field reader, an infrared camera, and a spirit box, while the TV displays the virtual environment. Netflix’s announcement describes the concept, but does not provide a detailed compatibility list for this specific game. Netflix Tudum’s announcement has the title details.
When does it come out, and where is it listed to launch?
Netflix gives October 13, 2026 as the planned release date. Its announcement names these 17 launch territories:
#1 Best Overall
- Australia
- Austria
- Belgium
- Canada
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Italy
- Mexico
- The Netherlands
- Poland
- South Africa
- Spain
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- The UK
- The US
This title-specific list does not guarantee that Netflix’s TV-game feature works on every device in those territories. Netflix describes TV and browser games generally as a beta with country and device restrictions, so check the service’s current availability and device guidance before expecting to play.
Do you need to watch the movies first?
No. Netflix says the films are not required to play. Familiarity with the Warrens’ backstory and other franchise characters may add context, but the game is presented as playable without that background. Netflix’s franchise overview notes that the first film debuted in 2013 and that the series includes four main films as well as spin-offs such as Annabelle and The Nun.

How does playing a Netflix game on a TV work?
The following are Netflix’s general TV-game requirements, not a title-specific promise that every compatible-looking device will support The Conjuring: Unspoken. Netflix says TV and browser games remain in beta and may not be available in every country or on every device. Its TV and computer game support page explains how to check access and set up play.
- Check availability: Open the Netflix app on your TV or streaming device and look for a Games option. Confirm that your device is supported in Netflix’s current help information.
- Connect to the internet: Netflix requires a stable connection and recommends download speeds of at least 10 Mbps for TV play.
- Use a phone or tablet as the controller: Netflix says each player needs a phone or tablet. The phone also serves as the in-game interface for investigation tools in The Conjuring: Unspoken.
- Do not rely on a gamepad: Netflix says gamepads and other controllers are not supported for TV play.
Is this part of Netflix’s mobile-games catalog?
Netflix’s September 9, 2026 catalog article says members have access to more than 120 exclusive mobile games. That figure applies to mobile games, not TV or browser games, and does not establish that those mobile titles—or this TV-focused game—can be played on a television. See Netflix Tudum’s game catalog for that dated mobile-games claim.
