A recall by Sterling Pharmaceutical Services LLC covers 747,844 units across nine product entries, according to reporting published October 3, 2026. To determine whether yours is affected, match the exact product name and lot number—and check the expiration date—against the current FDA recall listing. The available product excerpts are incomplete, so they should not be treated as the full list.

What the recall covers

The reported recall spans lubricant eye drops, a hypertonicity eye solution, and a nighttime eye ointment. Sterling initiated the recall on August 20, 2026, and it was classified by the FDA as Class II on September 21, 2026, according to Geo News reporting published October 3, 2026. The reported total is 747,844 units; “nearly 750,000” is a rounded figure, and the reporting does not establish that each unit is a bottle.

This is a specific recall, not a warning about all eye drops or every product sold under the named brands. Match the product and lot information on your package to the current government listing before drawing a conclusion.

How to check whether your package is affected

  1. Find the product name and formulation on the bottle or outer package. Pay attention to whether it is drops or ointment and to the stated ingredient or concentration.
  2. Find the lot number and expiration date printed on the container or packaging.
  3. Compare those details with the current FDA enforcement listing. Use the EyeDropSafety.org recall tracker as a secondary reference, not as a substitute for the live FDA record.
  4. Use the NDC and package size as additional identifiers when the listing provides them. Do not assume a match based only on brand name.

Product entries identified in available reporting

The entries below are names reported in available tracker and news excerpts, not a complete inventory. The excerpts do not expose every recalled entry or all lot and expiration details. Brand spellings and packaging variants also differ between sources; verify the exact record in the current FDA listing.

Nighttime Ointment. Since the available excerpts do not reconcile these names and packaging variants into a verified nine-entry inventory, use the FDA listing for the authoritative names, lots, and expiration dates.

What Class II means

The reported FDA classification is Class II. As quoted in the report, FDA defines this category as a situation that “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious health consequences is remote.” This describes a regulatory risk category; it does not predict what will happen to any individual user or establish that a particular recalled package is safe.

If you have used a potentially affected product

If the product is prescribed or medically necessary, you have symptoms, or you are unsure whether to continue treatment, contact your pharmacist or eye-care clinician for advice specific to your situation. The available reporting does not establish a universal substitute product or a complete clinical protocol, so do not switch to a replacement brand based on the recall notice alone.
