If you want a NAS motherboard with onboard 10GbE, ASRock Rack’s X570D4U-2L2T is a direct match: it has two RJ45 10GbE ports, eight SATA ports, two M.2 slots, ECC UDIMM support and IPMI. The W680D4U-2L2T is a similar micro-ATX option for Intel processors, with DDR5 support and a different storage layout. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not results from a tested build.
Two ASRock Rack boards with onboard 10GbE
Both models pair dual RJ45 10GbE with IPMI remote management in a micro-ATX form factor. Their main differences are processor platform, memory generation and storage connections.

Port count and controller names identify the hardware ASRock Rack specifies; they do not guarantee a particular transfer rate in a NAS setup. Actual performance and compatibility depend on the rest of the system, including drives, network equipment, configuration and software.

Choose the X570D4U-2L2T for a Ryzen 5000-series and DDR4 build
This board is the clearer fit if your build is based on a supported AMD Ryzen 5000-series desktop processor and DDR4 UDIMMs. Its eight SATA ports and two M.2 slots provide distinct connection options for a drive layout; plan which devices will use each connection before selecting a board.

Choose the W680D4U-2L2T for a supported Intel Core CPU and DDR5
This is the alternative if you are building around a supported Intel Core 12th–14th Gen processor and DDR5 UDIMMs. Its OCuLink connections and up-to-eight-SATA specification make it important to check the board’s detailed storage configuration against your intended drive count.
What to verify before buying
- CPU and BIOS: Check the current processor support list and whether your exact CPU requires a particular BIOS version.
- Memory kit: Confirm capacity, ECC type and module compatibility for the board and processor combination. ECC support on a specification sheet does not establish that every CPU-and-memory combination will operate as intended.
- Drive connections: Map SATA, M.2 and OCuLink devices to the board’s documented layout and verify any relevant sharing or configuration details in its manual.
- Network path: Confirm that your switch or other network equipment, cabling and connected systems support the link speed you intend to use. Onboard 10GbE alone does not make an entire network 10GbE.
- Case and management: Check micro-ATX fit, board revision, firmware support and how you will connect and secure the IPMI management network.
- NAS operating system: Check the operating system’s hardware and driver support for the selected board and its devices. Neither manufacturer specification page establishes compatibility with every NAS operating system.
No physical test results are established for these boards here: throughput, power draw, noise and operating-system compatibility in a particular configuration remain unverified. Current availability and pricing are also not established.

Do not mistake nearby server boards for onboard 10GbE options
ASUS’s surfaced Pro WS W680-ACE IPMI specifications identify dual Intel 2.5GbE and an IPMI expansion card, not onboard dual 10GbE (ASUS specifications). Supermicro’s X13SAE-F page lists eight SATA ports and a dedicated 1GbE IPMI LAN, but the available product-page information does not establish onboard 10GbE (Supermicro product page). These may suit other requirements, but the cited specifications do not make them direct matches for a board with built-in 10GbE.
