Short answer: Namecheap Reseller Hosting can be worth considering for a small agency or web developer that wants to sell branded hosting with separate cPanel accounts and can work within a fixed account and storage allowance. Its appeal is less clear if you need more than 150 client accounts, expect resource-intensive workloads, or want billing and support automation included at no added license cost. The listed prices and plan limits are useful for comparing capacity, but reseller-specific performance and support outcomes are not established by the available evidence.
What Namecheap Reseller Hosting includes
Reseller hosting lets you purchase a pool of hosting resources and sell individual hosting accounts to your clients under your own brand and pricing. Namecheap provides WHM for managing the hosting accounts and separate cPanel access for clients. That separation can suit a developer or small agency that wants to manage hosting alongside client websites without administering a server directly.
Namecheap’s plan comparison says the cPanel account limit assigned to a plan cannot be increased. It directs customers who need more than 150 resold accounts toward VPS or dedicated hosting, which involves a different level of management. See the official reseller package comparison.

WHM and WHMCS do different jobs
WHM is the administrative interface for creating and managing cPanel accounts. WHMCS is a separate client-management, billing, and support system; it is not another name for WHM. Namecheap’s getting-started guide describes WHMCS as an all-in-one system for those operational tasks and documents a Namecheap registrar module. Treat it as an optional, potentially additional software cost rather than an included feature unless your current checkout explicitly includes it.

Namecheap Reseller Hosting plans and prices
Namecheap’s reseller page listed the following monthly plan prices and capacities when checked on October 7, 2026. Its page also lists unmetered bandwidth, free cPanel/WHM, and a 30-day money-back guarantee for each plan. Verify the price, billing term, guarantee conditions, and availability at checkout; these are vendor-listed terms, not a reseller performance assessment. See Namecheap’s reseller plan page and its package comparison.
| Plan | Monthly price listed October 7, 2026 | cPanel accounts | SSD storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nebula | $19.88 | 25 | 30 GB |
| Galaxy Expert | $39.88 | 100 | 90 GB |
| Universe Pro | $58.88 | 150 | 150 GB |
Those capacities are shared across the reseller account: the plan’s account limit is the maximum number of cPanel accounts, and the listed storage is the total SSD capacity. The right tier depends on your expected client count and actual usage, not just the headline price.
How to decide whether a plan fits your business
Estimate client accounts and growth
Count the separate hosting accounts you expect to create, then leave room for growth. Since Namecheap says the account limit cannot be raised on a plan, a business approaching its tier’s cap may need to move to a higher listed tier or consider another hosting arrangement.

Calculate storage using real client needs
Compare the plan’s total SSD allowance with the websites, databases, email, and backups you intend to host. The published figure is a plan-wide capacity, not a per-client quota; how you divide it among clients affects how many accounts the plan can practically support.

Check whether your workloads fit the policy
“Unmetered bandwidth” does not mean that server resources or every type of use are unlimited. Namecheap’s Hosting Acceptable Use Policy sets inode limits and restrictions for some file types on shared and reseller servers. It also says sustained use of higher burstable resources may require a package with greater resource availability and reserves discretion to respond to use it considers inappropriate. If your clients have large media libraries, heavy databases, unusually high traffic, or resource-intensive applications, check the current policy and ask Namecheap whether the intended workload is permitted.
Include the cost of running the business
Hosting is only one part of the operating cost. If you need automated client signups, billing, or support workflows, include the cost of WHMCS or another tool in your margin calculation. Namecheap Staff announced that updated WHMCS renewal prices for reseller, VPS, and dedicated server customers would take effect on January 8, 2026. The notice establishes that prices changed, but does not establish today’s exact license price. Confirm the applicable tier and renewal amount before projecting revenue or setting client prices. See Namecheap’s WHMCS price update notice.
Plan for the next scale step
The listed reseller tiers top out at 150 cPanel accounts. Namecheap points customers needing more accounts toward VPS or dedicated hosting. That can change the management burden as well as the service arrangement, so consider whether your team is ready for that transition before building a business around a client count beyond the reseller tiers.

An iTechGuides review updated in September 2026 reports the same three plan prices and account and storage capacities, and describes WHMCS licenses as separately priced. This corroborates the listed plan details, but it is not an independent uptime test.
TechRadar’s May 2026 review of Namecheap hosting reports performance observations for the plans it tested and describes them as steady but not especially fast. That review is not reseller-specific, so it cannot establish performance on a reseller server or predict results for a particular client workload. No reseller-specific uptime measurement, performance test methodology, or comparable support-response data is established here. Do not use general hosting observations as proof of reseller performance.
Who should consider it—and who should look elsewhere
- Consider it if you already maintain client sites, want branded hosting with separate cPanel accounts, and can fit your portfolio within a plan’s fixed account and storage limits.
- Look beyond these tiers if you need more than 150 accounts or anticipate growth beyond that ceiling; Namecheap points those customers toward VPS or dedicated hosting.
- Check carefully before buying if clients depend on media-heavy, database-intensive, high-traffic, or otherwise resource-intensive applications. Confirm the current policy and workload fit with the provider.
- Build your own cost model if an automated billing and support platform is essential. WHMCS is separate from WHM, and its exact current license cost should be confirmed before calculating margins.
Verdict
Namecheap Reseller Hosting is a plausible option for a small, managed client portfolio that values a familiar WHM workflow, individual cPanel accounts, and a choice of monthly capacity tiers. Whether it is worthwhile comes down to fit: compare account and storage needs with the fixed plan limits, account for optional operations software, and check policy constraints for demanding workloads. Treat the published prices as a plan comparison, not evidence of reseller-specific speed, uptime, or support quality.
