Verdict: Mysterium VPN’s subscription app is most relevant if you want a residential IP or city-level location choices. Its three plans trade those features against device limits and price, but current-app speed and leak performance are not established here: this review did not install or test the app. The independent test cited below is from May 2026 and describes an earlier product state, so it is not a test of the October 2026 app.
What is Mysterium VPN?
Mysterium VPN’s current subscription app connects users through a decentralized network of residential nodes. The company says independent operators provide residential IP addresses and receive part of the payment when users connect. That is the vendor’s description of its network, not independent verification of who operates each exit node or how every connection performs. Mysterium Network’s overview describes the broader model; its help center dates the current app’s introduction to February 19, 2026. Mysterium VPN Help Center
Keep the current app separate from Mysterium Dark. According to the company’s help material, the subscription app is tied to an email account and covers desktop and mobile within the plan’s device allowance. Mysterium Dark is a separate, legacy pay-as-you-go product that uses a MYST token wallet. Older descriptions of Dark’s payment method or supported platforms should not be assumed to describe this subscription app. Mysterium VPN Help Center
How much does Mysterium VPN cost?
The following US-dollar prices appeared on Mysterium’s pricing page on October 5, 2026. Annual and two-year figures are monthly equivalents paid upfront as the stated total; they are not month-to-month billing prices. VAT may apply, and offers can change. Mysterium VPN pricing

| Plan | Month-to-month | One year, billed total | Two years, billed total | Simultaneous devices | Included distinction |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $10.49/month | $3.69/month equivalent ($44.28 total) | $2.59/month equivalent ($62.16 total) | 6 | Data-center IPs; no residential IPs or city-level choices listed |

| Pro | $18.49/month | $6.99/month equivalent ($83.88 total) | $4.79/month equivalent ($114.96 total) | 15 | Plus features and a malware blocker |
Mysterium’s page lists 100+ countries for Plus and Pro and advertises 7,500+ residential IPs for eligible higher tiers. Those are vendor-listed figures, not an independently audited count of live nodes or a guarantee that every location will be available when you connect. Mysterium VPN pricing
Which plan makes sense?
- Basic: Consider it if data-center IPs and fewer listed locations meet your needs. It does not list residential IP access or city-level selection.
- Plus: This is the tier to compare if residential IPs and city-level choices are the reason you are considering Mysterium. Its longer terms lower the monthly equivalent, but require paying the full billed total upfront.
- Pro: Choose it over Plus only if the malware blocker is useful to you or the higher device cap matters; the pricing page lists 15 simultaneous devices rather than Plus’s 10.
What are the refund terms?
The pricing page lists a seven-day money-back period for monthly and one-year plans and a 30-day period for two-year plans. It conditions refunds on usage under 10 GB and says other terms apply, so these are not unconditional guarantees. Check the current terms before buying. Mysterium VPN pricing

What does the current app support?
Devices and browser extensions
Mysterium lists apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. It lists browser extensions for Chrome, Brave, Opera, and Opera GX, but says extensions route browser traffic only. They do not provide residential IP access or the full feature set of desktop and mobile apps, and the company says they lack a kill switch. Mysterium VPN downloads

The vendor’s plan table sets simultaneous-device caps at six for Basic, 10 for Plus, and 15 for Pro. Does Mysterium VPN keep logs?
Mysterium says it does not log browsing activity, track a user’s IP, or store identifying details. It argues that a decentralized network makes centralized activity logging structurally difficult. These are the company’s policy and architecture claims, not independent proof of how every app release, node, or operational process behaves. Mysterium VPN no-logs policy

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
A decentralized residential exit adds a trust consideration: the operator whose connection supplies the exit IP is not equivalent to a privacy auditor. A VPN tunnel also does not make a user anonymous or make interception impossible. HTTPS remains important because it encrypts web traffic between your browser and HTTPS-enabled sites.
What do the speed and leak tests show?
This review did not install or test the current Mysterium VPN app, so it cannot report current-app speeds, streaming results, or leak protection as verified findings.
vpnMentor’s review page, updated May 26, 2026, reports variable speeds and a DNS leak on one tested US connection. It also describes a product state that conflicts with current official app information, including saying there was no iOS app. A separate 2026 analysis cautions that some independent tests may predate the July 2026 app. Treat vpnMentor’s findings as historical, version-sensitive warning signals—not as results for the October 2026 client or universal service statistics. vpnMentor review, updated May 26, 2026 Top10VPN analysis
Anyone relying on leak protection or performance should test the exact current client, device, and node they intend to use. A result from one node or an earlier app version cannot establish how another connection behaves.
Quick Recap
Who should consider Mysterium VPN?
- It may fit if residential IP access or city-level selection is a priority and Plus’s price and device allowance suit you.
- Basic may be enough if you want the lower tier and do not need residential IPs or city-level choices.
- Pro is more relevant if you specifically want its malware blocker or need its 15-device allowance.
- Look carefully at the evidence if your decision depends on independently verified privacy, current leak testing, or measured speeds: the vendor’s policy claims and the available older test do not establish those points for the current app.
