Short answer: MyBets.us presents itself as a social gaming platform where Gold Coins are for standard play and promotional Sweeps Coins may qualify for prize redemption under specific rules. The available official materials do not establish that the site is legal or available in every state. They also give conflicting state-exclusion lists, and the reviewed documents do not independently verify the operator’s identity or authorization. Check the current rules and your state’s law before participating.
How MyBets.us works
MyBets.us separates its virtual currency into two types. They are governed by different rules, so a balance of one type should not be treated as equivalent to the other.

| Currency | How the official terms describe it | Can it be redeemed? |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Coins | The Terms describe purchased Gold Coins as intended for Standard Play. | No. The Terms say purchased Gold Coins are nonrefundable and cannot be redeemed. |
| Sweeps Coins | The Sweeps Rules describe promotional coins that can be used in eligible games. | Eligible play may produce prize-eligible winnings, subject to playthrough, verification, and the other rules. Not every coin or game qualifies. |
These distinctions come from the MyBets.us Terms, version 2.1, updated April 23, 2026, and Sweeps Rules, version 3.2, updated March 30, 2026. Promotional terms and availability can change, so read the live rules rather than relying on an old description.
Can you redeem Sweeps Coins for prizes?
According to the Sweeps Rules, eligible redeemable Sweeps Coins may be exchanged for prizes at a rate of one coin per US dollar of prize value. That is a rules-based conversion, not a promise that every balance can be cashed out. The rules make redemption conditional on qualifying play and operator verification.
#1 Best Overall
- Redeemable at participating locations at MGM Resorts destinations.
- Redemption: Instore
- No returns and no refunds on gift cards.
- Playthrough: The rules require a one-time playthrough for Sweeps Coins on eligible games. They also identify games that do not count; check the current excluded-game list before playing.
- Minimum: The Terms state a minimum redemption of $100.
- Verification: Winning status remains subject to operator verification under the rules.
- Free entry: The Sweeps Rules describe a mail-in request route for Sweeps Coins. It involves account-specific postal request codes and detailed card and mailing instructions, so consult the current rules for the exact procedure and requirements.
The rules do not establish a payout-speed estimate in the reviewed material. Do not assume a processing time or that a request will be approved until MyBets.us has completed its required checks.
Is MyBets.us legal in my state?
There is no supported nationwide yes-or-no answer. MyBets.us’s official Sweeps Rules say, “The User must ensure whether the Sweeps games are legal in their jurisdiction.” That statement places responsibility on participants; it is not an independent legal finding that the platform is permitted where they live.

State treatment may depend on local statutes, current legislation, the mechanics of the particular promotion, and how regulators or courts interpret those facts. A July 30, 2026 memo from Wyoming’s Legislative Service Office describes varying state treatment of sweepstakes casinos and cites actions involving Montana and Connecticut. It also reports complaints to Wyoming regulators from sweepstakes-casino players about cash-out problems. That is general consumer-risk context, not a finding about MyBets.us or its conduct.

Michigan illustrates why a general label is not enough to determine legality. Michigan Compiled Laws § 750.372 generally addresses lotteries and gift enterprises but contains a limited exception for certain promotional activity that is clearly occasional and ancillary to the primary business, subject to conditions. That exception alone does not determine whether MyBets.us complies with Michigan law, and it says nothing about the law in another state.

What states are excluded?
The official materials reviewed do not agree, so no single list can safely be presented as definitive. The MyBets.us Sweeps Rules, version 3.2, updated March 30, 2026, list these excluded states:
- California
- Connecticut
- Idaho
- Kentucky
- Michigan
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Jersey
- Washington
Indexed text for the Customer Acceptance Policy, dated April 23, 2026, adds New York and omits Kentucky. Because that policy page was not directly accessible for review, its indexed text is less conclusive than a current, directly checked policy. The Terms also say geographic availability may change. Confirm eligibility on the live official site and check applicable state law; do not rely on either list alone as a guarantee that participation is allowed.

Account controls and closure
MyBets.us’s Responsible Social Gameplay Policy says users can contact support to request play limits, use cooling-off or self-exclusion, and close an account. The policy also says permanent account closure forfeits access to associated virtual currency. Before requesting closure, review the current policy and any relevant balance or redemption status.

The reviewed official materials explain coin types, some participation and redemption terms, and responsible-play controls. They do not independently verify the legal identity of the operator or establish an authorization that resolves legality across jurisdictions. Nor do they substantiate claims about game fairness, mobile performance, customer-service quality, or payout speed. Treat those matters as unverified rather than inferring them from the site’s promotional language or rules.
