My Friendly Neighborhood is reported to be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. The date and planned Game Pass availability were reported by Gematsu on October 6, 2026; the publisher’s reviewed pages do not independently confirm those details.
When is My Friendly Neighborhood coming to Switch 2?
Gematsu reported on October 6, 2026 that My Friendly Neighborhood will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. The report attributes the announcement to publisher DreadXP and developers John Szymanski and Evan Szymanski. DreadXP’s reviewed game page and press kit do not independently confirm the Switch 2 date.

What is My Friendly Neighborhood about?
It is a survival horror adventure starring Gordon, a repairman sent to investigate the return of a canceled children’s television puppet show. The deliberately cheerful puppet setting contrasts with the horror premise.
DreadXP describes non-linear exploration through varied environments, puzzle solving, weapons such as the Rolodexer, and a grid-based real-time inventory. Players navigate a map while facing a cast of puppet adversaries. These are details of the game as described by its publisher, not a hands-on assessment of the Switch 2 version.

Will My Friendly Neighborhood be on Game Pass?
Gematsu’s October 6, 2026 report says the game will also be available via Game Pass. It does not specify the subscription tier, regions, or when it will become available through the service, and the reviewed DreadXP pages do not independently confirm Game Pass availability.
Who made the game, and when did it first release?
John Szymanski and Evan Szymanski developed My Friendly Neighborhood, and DreadXP published it. The publisher’s press kit lists Steam as the platform for the original release on July 18, 2023. Gematsu reports that PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions followed on July 17, 2025.
