MSI’s PRO MAX EDGE AI+ 11M is a 4-liter compact desktop configured with up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 unified memory. MSI says compatible configurations can run large AI models locally, but the memory is shared between system and graphics tasks—not 128GB of dedicated graphics VRAM—and the advertised model capacities have not been independently validated.
What the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ 11M is
MSI describes the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ 11M as a compact desktop rather than a conventional mini PC. Its listed volume is 4 liters, and its dimensions are 97.5 × 188.4 × 248.5 mm. The compact chassis is designed around on-device AI computing, with processor, graphics, memory and storage specifications that vary by configuration. (MSI specifications)
What “up to 128GB of memory” means
The maximum listed capacity is 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 unified memory. Unlike a desktop with separate system RAM and graphics memory, this memory pool is shared. MSI says up to 96GB can be allocated as graphics memory, but that allocation is still drawn from the system’s unified memory; it is not a separate 96GB VRAM module. (MSI specifications)
That distinction matters for AI workloads: a large shared pool can make it possible to load models that would exceed the memory available on many consumer graphics cards, but capacity alone does not establish how quickly a model will run. Performance also depends on the processor and graphics configuration, model architecture, quantization, context length and software.

Processor, graphics and AI figures
MSI lists configurations up to the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, with integrated Radeon 8060S graphics and an XDNA NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS. MSI’s launch announcement states up to 126 TOPS of total AI performance for the platform. These are manufacturer specifications and claims for relevant configurations, not independently measured results; TOPS figures alone do not determine performance in a particular AI application. (MSI launch announcement; MSI specifications)
MSI’s local-model claims—and what they do not promise
MSI says a single system can support local workloads involving language models of up to 120 billion parameters in compatible configurations. It also says multi-system clustering can scale local inference to models of up to 670 billion parameters. These are conditional capability claims, not guarantees that every model of those sizes will load or run at a useful speed. Compatibility and practical performance depend on factors including model format, quantization, context length, software and the number and configuration of systems involved. No independent benchmark validation is established for these claims. (MSI launch announcement)

Storage, networking and displays
- Storage: MSI lists two M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 slots. The specification page does not, by itself, establish which capacity or drive is installed in a particular configuration.
- Networking: The listed connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5Gb Ethernet.
- Displays: MSI’s product information says the system supports up to four displays; check the selected configuration and its available outputs for connection details.

Privacy language is not a security guarantee
MSI’s US product page uses the marketing line “Your data never leaves the office.” Local inference can avoid sending prompts to a remote AI service when the chosen model and software run entirely on the device. That slogan is not a blanket security guarantee: actual data handling depends on the model, applications, network connections and deployment settings. (MSI US product page)
