MSI’s MPG Infinite Z3 X3D is a gaming desktop family built around AMD Ryzen X3D processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards. MSI announced three configurations in September 2025, but its current specifications page lists a broader, SKU-dependent range. Which CPU, GPU, memory, storage, power supply, and wireless features you get depends on the exact model sold in your market.
Which MPG Infinite Z3 X3D configurations did MSI announce?
In an announcement dated September 12, 2025, MSI named these three initial CPU and GPU pairings:
| Announced configuration | Processor | Graphics card |
|---|---|---|
| High-end | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 |
| Upper-tier | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 |
| Third announced option | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti |
MSI said availability would begin in September 2025 through authorized retailers and e-commerce partners. That was the launch plan, not confirmation of current inventory or pricing. The company directed buyers to regional listings for exact details.

MSI’s undated specifications page now lists a wider family-level selection: Ryzen 7 7800X3D or 9800X3D processors paired with MSI GeForce RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, or RTX 5090 cards. Do not assume every combination is sold; check the specific model number and local listing. MSI’s specifications page is the place to confirm what the family page currently identifies.

What varies by SKU, and what does MSI list for the family?
MSI’s specifications describe options across the MPG Infinite Z3 X3D family, not a guarantee that each individual desktop contains every listed feature. The following are family-level specifications; verify them against the SKU before buying.
| Component or feature | MSI-listed family options |
|---|---|
| Chipset | AMD B850 |
| Memory slots and speed | Four DDR5 UDIMM slots, listed at 5600 MHz |
| Maximum memory | 128 GB |
| M.2 storage slots | Three: one PCIe Gen5 x4 and two PCIe Gen4 x4 |
| Additional drive bays | Two 3.5-inch bays and one 2.5-inch bay |
| CPU cooling | 360 mm liquid cooler |
| Power supply | 850 W or 1200 W, 80 Plus Gold |
| Wireless networking | Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7, depending on variant |
| Chassis dimensions | 235.1 × 481.23 × 485 mm |
MSI’s launch announcement highlights EZ M.2 CLIP, EZ PCIe CLIP II, and tool-free thumb-screw access. Those features may make some access or installation steps more convenient, but they do not remove compatibility limits or establish that every component can be upgraded. Confirm the exact board, power supply, space, and supported parts for the model in question.

What does MSI claim about gaming performance?
MSI promotes its X3D Gaming Mode as delivering a 2%–20% gaming-performance uplift. The company’s undated product overview provides game-specific frame-rate figures for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5090 test configuration at 1080p on low settings, with DLSS or Frame Generation enabled in supported titles. These are MSI claims, not independent benchmark results, and they should not be generalized to other GPUs, games, resolutions, or settings. MSI’s product overview contains the company’s stated performance context.
MSI’s September 2025 announcement also reported an average of 360 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 3840 × 2160, using RTX Medium settings, DLSS Performance, and Frame Generation 4x. The upscaling and frame-generation settings are essential context: this result is not a measure of native rendering at 4K. It is a manufacturer-reported figure, not an independently verified result.

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060Ti
- Cool While Gaming: In conjunction with an RGB CPU Air Cooler, the Aegis RS features four system cooling fans; three in the front and one in the rear to pull in cool air and push heat out of the PC.
- Turn on the Bright Lights: With the built-in RGB lighting, take your gaming experience to the next level by pressing the MSI LED button to cycle through lighting options. Customize lighting even further with MSI Center software.
MSI also markets “500+ FPS” performance potential and recommends pairing the system with a 500Hz monitor. That is a marketing claim, not a promise that every buyer will see those frame rates. Actual results depend on the exact desktop configuration, game, settings, and display resolution; a monitor capable of a high refresh rate is an optional companion, not something MSI’s material says is bundled or required.
What should you verify before buying?
Because the name covers multiple configurations and MSI points buyers to regional details, compare the listing against the exact product code rather than relying on the family name or a headline. Check:

- Memory and storage: Confirm installed capacity and SSD configuration, not just the number of slots or bays available in the chassis.
- Power and wireless options: Verify whether the unit has the 850 W or 1200 W PSU and Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7.
- Operating system and support: Check the local listing for the installed OS, warranty terms, and support coverage; the family specifications alone do not establish those details.
- Price and stock: Check current authorized-retailer listings in your country. MSI’s September 2025 launch announcement does not establish today’s price or availability.

1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHow should you compare it with another gaming desktop?
Compare like with like, rather than treating a brand-level frame-rate claim as a universal result. For each candidate, line up the exact CPU and GPU, local price, and performance in the same game at the same resolution and settings. Also compare installed memory and storage, cooler, measured noise and thermals, chassis dimensions, upgrade options, warranty, and support.

MSI’s published information establishes family options and vendor-reported performance claims, but it does not provide a current US price, independent noise or thermal measurements, or comparable third-party benchmark data. Without those, buyers cannot use the cited figures alone to determine whether a particular Z3 X3D SKU is better value or quieter than a competing desktop.
