The reported $180 discount on the MSI Claw was a historical September 2024 Amazon offer—not a confirmed deal today. The title-matching July 2024 report described a different offer: $549 after a coupon for the MSI Claw A1M-051US. Both prices are now historical, so check the exact model and current listing before buying.
What the two MSI Claw deal reports said
Two 2024 reports account for the headline’s pricing, but they cover separate offers:
| Report | Model and retailer | Reported price | What the figure meant |
|---|---|---|---|
| HotHardware, July 19, 2024 | MSI Claw A1M-051US; Newegg | $549 | HotHardware reported a $749 reference price and a listing reduced to $599 before coupon code FANDUA5768 brought it to $549. These were the reported terms at publication, not a current quote. |
| Notebookcheck, September 12, 2024 | Core Ultra 7 / 512GB MSI Claw; Amazon | $569 | Notebookcheck described this as $180 off and a record low at publication. Its notice says price and availability may change; the report does not establish a current offer. |
The figures should not be combined: the retailers, reported prices, and deal conditions differed. Neither article verifies a live price in 2026.

Those are the specifications HotHardware gave for that configuration; they do not establish how it performs in any particular current game.
How the A1M-051US fits among the cited Claw models
HotHardware also listed an A1M-052US with Core Ultra 5 135H and 512GB storage, and an A1M-050US with 1TB storage. The outlet judged the A1M-051US the better buy at the sale price it reported in 2024. That was a price-dependent judgment, not a guarantee that the same model is the best value at today’s prices.

MSI’s US store search result described a certified refurbished A1M-047CA with Core Ultra 7 155H, 16GB memory, 1TB storage, a 7-inch 1080p/120Hz touchscreen, and 53Wh battery. It also stated refurbished warranty coverage of up to 180 days from purchase. The listing page returned an error when opened, so the current listing and warranty terms are not verified. Check MSI’s US store directly before relying on that result.
