The MOVA V50 Ultra Complete packs an unusually broad set of automation features into a robot vacuum and mop, but its cleaning results are less settled: RTINGS reports weak fine-debris and carpet pet-hair pickup, while Vacuum Wars records strong results in its own carpet tests. It may suit homes that value an automated dock and obstacle handling, but buyers should weigh those features against the type of floors, messes, and pet hair they need it to clean.
What is the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete?
It is a robot vacuum and mop sold with an automated base station. MOVA’s U.S. product page lists 24,000 Pa suction and a 6,400 mAh battery, along with FlexiRise retractable navigation, StepMaster obstacle handling, a DuoSolution system, warm-water mopping, carpet settings, and automated dock care. These are manufacturer specifications and feature descriptions, not independent measurements of real-world cleaning performance.
MOVA says the robot can return to recharge and resume cleaning. The product page also lists Apple Watch support, third-party voice-assistant support, and a built-in “Hey, MOVA” assistant. Its package contents include the robot and base station, brushes, filters, dust bags, a ramp extension plate, mop-pad holders and pads, and a dual-compartment solution dispenser.
What the dock is designed to automate
MOVA’s July 1, 2025 launch announcement specifies hot-water mop washing at 176°F and hot-air drying at 140°F. These are company-published specifications; they do not establish how effectively the dock handles every kind of residue or how much hands-on maintenance it needs in a particular home.

How well does it clean?
Independent assessments reach notably different conclusions, and their results should not be treated as though they came from a shared test protocol.
RTINGS: suitable for upkeep, with notable pickup weaknesses
RTINGS calls the V50 an “okay choice for multi-surface households,” saying it can handle light daily upkeep but does not deliver a thorough clean in its assessment. RTINGS reports that fine debris remains on hard floors and carpets, pet-hair pickup on carpet is weak, and some stains require multiple passes. It also reports reliable avoidance of household clutter and pet waste in its testing. That obstacle result does not establish perfect avoidance in every home or for every object.

Vacuum Wars: strong scores in its carpet tests
Vacuum Wars says it purchased and tested the V50 over several weeks. In its review update dated October 10, 2025, it reports an 88% carpet deep-clean result, compared with its stated 75% robot-vacuum average, and an 88% flattened pet-hair-on-carpet result, compared with its stated 81% average. Those percentages describe Vacuum Wars’ specific tests and comparison averages; they do not resolve RTINGS’ different findings.

Consider whether you mainly need daily maintenance or thorough pickup, and whether your problem areas are fine debris, carpet, pet hair, or dried stains.

Navigation, carpets, and everyday usability
The V50’s retractable navigation and obstacle-handling features are intended to help it move through a furnished home, while MOVA also advertises carpet-oriented settings. RTINGS’ assessment supports obstacle avoidance as a potential strength, including in its pet-waste evaluation, but no test result guarantees the robot will recognize every cable, toy, or pet accident. Homes with frequent floor clutter should still be prepared before a run.
Low-clearance access is a specific consideration. RTINGS says the Dreame X50 Ultra shares core hardware with the V50 and assesses the X50 as better overall, including for stain removal; it also identifies an issue with the V50 fitting beneath low furniture. RTINGS separately assesses the Roborock Saros 10R as better overall, citing improved hard-floor pickup and access under low furniture. These are RTINGS’ comparisons, not claims that every home will see the same difference.

MOVA’s bundle page lists one liter of general cleaning solution and 200 mL of pet-odor solution, as well as accessory and replacement-type items. The listed supplies include mop pads, dust bags, filters, and brushes. The page does not establish how long supplies last, when they need replacement, or separate current prices for each item, so factor ongoing availability and cost into a purchase without assuming a replacement schedule.
Who should consider the V50—and what to compare
The V50 is most compelling for buyers who prioritize a feature-rich dock, scheduled vacuuming and mopping, and obstacle-handling features. It is a less straightforward choice if reliable fine-debris pickup, carpet pet hair, or stain removal is the main reason for buying. Those are the areas where RTINGS reports limitations and where the testing accounts diverge most.
Before choosing among premium robots, compare them against the jobs your household actually needs done:
- Fine debris pickup on hard floors and carpet, plus carpet deep cleaning.
- Pet-hair pickup on carpet and stain removal.
- Obstacle and pet-waste avoidance, and clearance beneath your furniture.
- Threshold handling and the dock’s automation and maintenance demands.
- Consumable availability and cost, along with the verified price at checkout.
For named alternatives, RTINGS’ comparisons point to the Dreame X50 Ultra and Roborock Saros 10R. Vacuum Wars also lists models including the Dreame L50 Ultra, Roborock Saros 10, and MOVA P-series robots among comparison options. Compare like-for-like tests where available rather than assuming one publisher’s score predicts another publisher’s outcome.
Vacuum Wars notes that the V50’s previous top-pick position had been replaced by a newer model in a page update dated October 7, 2026. That is useful context for readers comparing recommendations, but it is not a substitute for checking the current price, availability, and performance evidence for the specific models under consideration.
