Motorola’s Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra are moving through regulatory steps ahead of wider availability, according to a report by XpertPick. The report says the UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) approved Razr 70 model XT2657-8 and had earlier approved Razr 70 Ultra model XT2655-1. The TDRA entries could not be independently confirmed from an accessible regulator record, so the approvals should be treated as reported rather than verified.
What the TDRA certification report says
XpertPick reports that Razr 70 XT2657-8 appeared on the UAE TDRA platform and that Razr 70 Ultra XT2655-1 had been approved earlier. The report does not establish a retail launch date, price, or when either phone will be available to buy in the UAE.
Motorola’s official declarations index confirms the product identities associated with two related model numbers: XT2657-1 is listed as “motorola razr 70,” and XT2655-1 as “motorola razr 70 ultra.” This manufacturer documentation corroborates the names, but it does not independently verify the TDRA listing. The different Razr 70 suffixes matter: the TDRA report names XT2657-8, while Motorola’s index names XT2657-1. They should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
What certification does—and does not—mean
A regulatory certification is a development milestone, not a retail announcement. It does not by itself confirm that a phone is on sale, establish a local price, or give a release date. Those details require separate confirmation from Motorola or regional retailers.

Where Motorola says the Razr 70 Ultra is planned to launch
Motorola’s announcement says the Razr 70 Ultra is planned to be available in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific “in the coming months.” That is a broad regional plan, not a specific UAE launch schedule or confirmation of current stock.
The announcement also uses different names for the 2026 Razr devices in the U.S. market. “Razr 70” and “Razr 2026” therefore should not be treated as universally interchangeable names without market-specific confirmation.

What buyers in the UAE should watch for
The certification report is a sign of regulatory progress, but it does not answer when either foldable will reach UAE stores or how much it will cost. For a purchase decision, look for a local availability announcement and check the exact model number: the reported XT2657-8 and Motorola-listed XT2657-1 are distinct suffixes, not confirmed equivalents.
