The OnePlus Nord 6 has the larger listed battery, the faster display and the higher-tier chipset on paper. The Motorola Edge 70 is the lighter and slimmer phone, and its listed front and ultrawide cameras carry higher resolution. A reliable price difference cannot be stated yet, because Motorola’s launch price is quoted in Mexican pesos, OnePlus’s is an Indian launch segment from April 2026, and neither is a current same-market offer.

Battery life and charging
The Nord 6 lists 9,000 mAh, almost double the Edge 70’s 4,800 mAh Mexico figure and 4,000 mAh more than its 5,000 mAh US support figure. Motorola’s own pages do not agree on capacity, so the Edge 70 number depends on which market’s SKU you buy. Check the battery figure printed on the exact box or the seller’s listing before comparing.

OnePlus publishes one endurance result: 26.9 hours of YouTube playback in its own Test Lab. The test ran on Wi-Fi with default settings, and the product page does not give a test date. OnePlus also states that real battery life depends on network, apps, usage, device age and settings. Treat the figure as a manufacturer test result, not a measured runtime for your own use. No independent endurance test comparing the two phones was found.

On charging, the Nord 6 is listed at 80 W wired, and the Edge 70 at 68 W wired with 15 W wireless in Mexico. Charging speed only matters in practice if the charger and cable you buy support the phone’s listed maximum, so budget for that separately.
Processor and display
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 sits above the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in Qualcomm’s naming, and the Nord 6 also has the higher refresh rate at 165 Hz against the Edge 70’s 120 Hz. For a phone used mainly for scrolling, video and everyday apps, 120 Hz is still smooth. The gap is more noticeable in fast-motion games that can hold high frame rates. Neither company’s listing shows sustained gaming performance under heat, and no independent side-by-side benchmark was found, so a specific speed advantage should not be assumed.
The Nord 6 is also the larger screen at 6.78 inches against 6.70 inches. The Edge 70’s 1.5K resolution is quoted only in the Mexico announcement, and the comparison listing gives no resolution.

Cameras
The Edge 70 lists higher-resolution secondary cameras: 50 MP on both the ultrawide and the front. The Nord 6 lists the stronger main-camera hardware in the form of a Sony LYTIA sensor with dual-axis optical stabilisation, paired with an 8 MP ultrawide and a 32 MP front camera. Megapixel count alone does not decide image quality, since pixel size, processing and stabilisation all affect the result.
No published sample-based comparison of daylight, low-light or video results was found for these two models. If the camera is your priority, compare sample photos taken at the same time and place on both phones before choosing.
Weight, thickness and durability
The Edge 70 is the clear choice for handling comfort. At 159 g and 5.99 mm, it is about 58 g lighter and 2.5 mm thinner than the Nord 6 in the figures cited. The Nord 6 is heavier, though its battery accounts for much of that difference.

The two water-protection ratings come from different manufacturers and test standards, so they cannot be ranked against each other directly:
Quick wins for a faster PC:

The depth and duration are set by the manufacturer’s test conditions, so check the depth stated for each phone.
- IP69 and IP69K cover high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. The Nord 6 lists both; the Edge 70 lists IP69.
- IP66 covers powerful water jets, and it is listed only for the Nord 6.
- MIL-STD-810H is a US military test method series for environmental stress. It is not a waterproof rating, and Motorola’s support page does not publish its test parameters.
Neither set of ratings guarantees protection against accidental damage, and no drop or long-term durability test comparing the two phones was found.

OnePlus states four Android OS updates and six years of security updates for the Nord 6 on its India product page. The Motorola sources checked do not state an equivalent update commitment for the Edge 70, so the software-support advantage belongs to the Nord 6 only as far as those pages show. If long software life matters to you, look for Motorola’s policy on the page for your specific market before deciding.

Price difference: what can and cannot be said
Motorola Mexico announced the standard Edge 70 at a starting price of MXN $12,999, with a Pantone and Swarovski special edition at MXN $15,999. These are Mexico launch and availability prices, not current worldwide prices.
OnePlus India placed the Nord 6 in the ₹35,000–₹40,000 segment at its India launch on April 7, 2026. That is a launch-time segment, not a current price.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteBecause the two prices are in different currencies and different markets, they do not show a price gap. A reliable comparison needs both phones checked on the same day, in the same country, for the same storage configuration, with the same seller and shipping terms. Retailer listings for both phones change frequently, and a comparison site’s displayed prices can differ from its own summary figures.
Quick Recap
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the Nord 6 if battery endurance, the 165 Hz display and the higher-tier processor are your priorities, and you can carry a heavier phone. Check the 80 W charger and the software-support terms for your market.
- Choose the Edge 70 if the phone’s weight and thickness matter most, or if you value the higher-resolution front and ultrawide cameras. Confirm the battery capacity and storage for your exact model, and confirm the software-update policy with Motorola for your market.
- Do not decide on price alone until you have compared the same storage tier in your own market. A small price difference matters less than a battery capacity or update policy that differs in your region.
Before you buy: checklist
- Confirm the exact model number, storage and RAM on the box or the seller’s page.
- Compare battery capacity on the market-specific product page, not a comparison site.
- Check the current price on the same day for both phones, in the same currency, including shipping and tax.
- Look for independent camera samples and sustained-performance tests before you rely on a performance or photo-quality difference.
- Read the software-support policy for your country before purchase.
