At the prices reported in June 2026, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is the stronger specification-led buy under ₹50,000: its reported ₹47,999 price gets you 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while Nothing’s ₹49,999 Phone (4a) Pro base model has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Choose Nothing instead if you prefer a flat display, want its Glyph Matrix, or value its one additional reported year of security updates. These are specification-based recommendations, not a verdict from direct comparative testing.

What each phone costs under ₹50,000

Both 91mobiles, in a report published 7 June 2026, and Gadgets 360, in a report updated 4 June 2026, listed the following India prices. They are dated reports, not verified live checkout prices.

Phone and configuration Reported price Under ₹50,000?
Motorola Edge 70 Pro+, 12GB RAM / 256GB storage ₹47,999 Yes
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, 8GB / 128GB ₹49,999 Yes
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, 8GB / 256GB ₹52,999 No
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, 12GB / 256GB ₹55,999 No

That makes the variant comparison important: the two prices closest to the budget ceiling do not buy matching memory and storage. The Nothing configurations with 256GB storage were reported above ₹50,000. Before buying, check the exact variant, seller, any bank or offer conditions, and the final checkout price.

How their key specifications compare

The following figures are those reported by 91mobiles and Gadgets 360 in June 2026. A specification indicates what a device is rated or described to offer; it does not establish how the phones perform against each other in everyday use.

Which phone is the better buy for your priorities?

Choose Motorola for more memory and charging options at the reported price

For a buyer who wants more RAM and storage without crossing the budget, the Motorola configuration reported at ₹47,999 is the clear value on paper. It also has the larger stated battery capacity and supports both wired and wireless charging. Those figures do not prove it lasts longer between charges: real battery life depends on use and comparable testing.

Choose Nothing for a flat screen, Glyph Matrix or longer reported security support

Nothing’s flat 6.83-inch display is the larger of the two by the reported diagonal, while the Motorola’s panel is curved. The Glyph Matrix is a distinctive rear-lighting interface, so its appeal is a matter of preference. Nothing also has six years of security updates reported, one more year than Motorola; both are listed with three major Android upgrades. Confirm current India support terms with the manufacturers before treating those figures as current commitments.

Compare camera claims cautiously

Both phones are reported to include a periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, so that capability alone does not distinguish them. Motorola’s ultrawide and front camera have higher stated resolutions, and its reported video frame rate is higher. But megapixel counts and video specifications do not show which phone produces better photos or video. The reviewed coverage does not establish a direct camera test winner; 91mobiles said Motorola’s actual camera performance remained to be seen pending its dedicated review.

Consider the display shape and protection rating in context

The reported refresh rate is 144Hz for both. Motorola’s stated peak brightness is higher on paper, but peak figures are not a comparative brightness test. The Motorola’s IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD claims indicate stronger stated ingress and durability protection than Nothing’s IP65 rating; none makes a phone damage-proof. The reported Motorola is also thinner and lighter, while Nothing has a metal unibody.

What the available comparison cannot settle

The June 2026 comparison coverage supplies specifications and dated prices, but not directly comparable hands-on results for these phones. It therefore cannot establish which one takes better photos, lasts longer on a charge, or sustains higher performance during demanding workloads such as gaming. TechRadar’s hands-on impressions for Nothing alone do not provide a head-to-head result. Treat processor, battery-capacity, camera-resolution and peak-brightness figures as clues for what to investigate, not as measured winners.

For a confident choice, compare camera samples from both phones, battery results from comparable testing, and sustained-performance tests. Also check whether the curved or flat screen feels better to you and whether the storage configuration you want fits the price you are willing to pay.
