The Motorola Edge 70 Max and Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro have different strengths on paper, but the prices currently listed by their manufacturers are from different countries: India for Motorola and China for Xiaomi. That means the displayed prices do not establish which phone costs less overall. The Edge 70 Max lists a larger, higher-resolution screen and Qi2 wireless charging; the Redmi K100 Pro lists a larger battery and a higher maximum refresh rate.
Motorola Edge 70 Max vs Redmi K100 Pro: specifications

| Connectivity and protection | Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC; manufacturer lists IP69/IP68 underwater protection and MIL-STD 810H | Not stated in the cited China Store listing |
These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independently tested results. Motorola notes that specifications may vary by market, and Xiaomi’s details are from its China store; local versions or availability may differ.
Which phone has the better display?
The Edge 70 Max has the larger and higher-resolution display on the published specifications: 6.82 inches at 1440 × 3168, compared with the Redmi K100 Pro’s 6.59 inches at 2510 × 1156. Xiaomi lists the higher maximum refresh rate, up to 185 Hz versus Motorola’s up to 144 Hz.

Those figures describe different aspects of a screen. The larger Motorola panel may suit readers who prioritize screen area and resolution, while Xiaomi’s higher listed refresh ceiling may appeal to those focused on refresh rate. Refresh rate alone does not establish overall display quality, and the listings do not provide a controlled head-to-head screen test.

Performance: chipset names are not a benchmark
Motorola lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while Xiaomi lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series. These are different chipset designations, but their names alone are not enough to determine which phone is faster in actual use. A meaningful verdict would require independent benchmarks on the exact retail models, with comparable software and test conditions; no such result is established here.
Battery capacity, charging and real-world use
Xiaomi lists the larger battery at 8,580 mAh and 100 W wired charging. Motorola lists 7,100 mAh, 90 W wired charging, 25 W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and 5 W wired reverse charging. On paper, Xiaomi leads in stated capacity and wired charging power, while Motorola adds wireless charging.

Capacity and rated charging power do not establish battery life or charging time. Actual results depend on usage, software, temperature, charger and charging protocol. Motorola advertises up to 73 hours of battery life but describes the figure as approximate and dependent on conditions; it is not a guaranteed runtime or a directly comparable test against Xiaomi. Check whether the charger is included with the exact local model and whether it supports the phone’s charging standard.
Camera comparison: megapixels do not settle image quality
Motorola specifies a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8 MP ultrawide with autofocus and macro capability, and a 32 MP front camera. Xiaomi’s China Store summarizes the Redmi K100 Pro’s rear cameras as 200 MP + 50 MP + 8 MP.

The specifications show resolution and some camera features, but they cannot tell you which phone takes better photos or video. Sensor behavior, image processing, lens quality and shooting conditions matter too. If camera performance is central to your choice, look for controlled photo and video samples from the exact retail versions rather than choosing by megapixel count.
Price difference: India and China listings are not like-for-like
| Phone and market | Manufacturer-listed price | Configuration or qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Motorola Edge 70 Max, India | ₹54,999 displayed offer; ₹89,999 MRP | Motorola India family-page listing; a live listing snapshot, not a universal or stable price |
| Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro, China | From RMB 3,999 | Xiaomi China Store; selected configuration is 12 GB + 256 GB |
These figures do not support a reliable claim that one phone is cheaper by a specific amount. They are listed in different countries and currencies, with different tax, sale and market conditions. A price difference is meaningful only when you compare current offers in the same country for matching RAM and storage, and identify the date and seller.

Which phone should you choose?
Consider the Motorola Edge 70 Max if
- You want the larger, higher-resolution display listed for these models.
- Qi2 magnetic wireless charging is important to you.
- You are buying in India and want to start from Motorola’s India listing, while checking the exact local SKU and offer.
Consider the Redmi K100 Pro if
- You prioritize the larger listed battery capacity or the higher listed wired charging power.
- You prefer the higher maximum refresh rate shown in Xiaomi’s specification.
- You can verify that the China-market device is suitable for your region, including bands, warranty, software and total import cost.
Neither specification sheet establishes a clear overall winner for speed, endurance, camera quality or value. Those judgments need comparable independent tests and same-market pricing, which the manufacturer listings do not provide.
Software-update wording to verify
Motorola’s page says security updates run through July 2031 and describes OS updates as “Upt to 3 years.” Because the OS-update wording appears to contain a typo, confirm Motorola’s intended commitment before treating it as a definite update policy.
