The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion looks stronger on battery capacity and wired charging in the regional configurations described here; the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has a reported dedicated periscope telephoto camera for longer optical reach. There is no single reliable global price difference: the available figures come from different countries, variants and sellers, so compare checkout totals for the same market and storage tier.
Check the region and variant before comparing
Neither phone should be treated as having one universal specification sheet. Motorola’s India support page explicitly warns that specifications may vary by market. Its separate Japan listing describes a Japan-market Edge 70 Fusion, not the India configuration. Nothing’s listed US price also applies to a selected 8GB/128GB variant, while the third-party comparison page does not establish that every listed specification applies to every region.
Use the exact regional product page and model configuration you intend to buy to confirm network compatibility, memory and storage, included accessories, warranty, and final price.

The table separates official Motorola regional information from third-party Nothing comparison specifications. A specification marked as reported by 91mobiles should be verified against the official documentation for the exact Nothing SKU before purchase.

How the differences matter in everyday use
Battery capacity and charging
The Japan Edge 70 Fusion listing has a 7,000mAh battery and 68W wired charging, compared with 5,400mAh and 50W reported for the Nothing phone. Those are capacity and charging-rate figures, not proof of how long either phone lasts in real use. Screen brightness, signal strength, workload, software and testing conditions affect endurance. The 91mobiles comparison displays battery-test durations of 17h 34m for Motorola and 13h 49m for Nothing, but these are that publisher’s results; the available details do not establish a method that can be independently replicated here.
Camera reach versus ultrawide coverage
The India Edge 70 Fusion specification emphasizes a main camera with optical image stabilization and an ultrawide camera that also supports macro mode. The 91mobiles Nothing listing instead reports a dedicated periscope camera with up to 3.5x optical zoom, alongside an ultrawide. That gives the Nothing configuration a reported advantage for distant subjects, while the Motorola’s listed ultrawide offers a wider field of view and macro mode. Camera choice depends on the kind of framing you use; neither set of specifications establishes an overall image-quality winner.

Front Camera features 32MP with f/2.2 aperture, 0.7m pixel size and Quad Pixel Technology for 1.4m
Nothing’s US store promotes a three-camera system and calls its zoom “World’s first 140x ultra zoom.” That is manufacturer marketing language, not a statement that 140x is optical zoom. The comparison-page optical figures distinguish the reported 3.5x periscope zoom from digital or other extended zoom claims.
Display, processor and performance evidence
The listed displays are close in refresh rate, at up to 144Hz, but differ in size and resolution. The Japan Motorola screen is 6.78 inches at 2772 × 1272; 91mobiles lists the Nothing at 6.83 inches and 1260 × 2800. Resolution and refresh rate alone do not establish brightness, color accuracy or viewing quality.

The available prices are from different markets and configurations, so subtracting them would be misleading. The 91mobiles comparison page showed Indian retailer prices of ₹29,749 for the Motorola at Flipkart and ₹46,658 for the Nothing at Amazon. These are volatile retailer listings tied to the configurations and page access time; they are not a confirmed like-for-like checkout comparison or guaranteed current prices.

Nothing’s US store displayed $419, reduced from $499, for a selected Silver 8GB/128GB variant. That is a US store observation at access time, not a permanent price. Motorola Japan listed its Japan-market Edge 70 Fusion with 12GB/256GB at ¥79,800 including tax and a planned release date of 23 October 2026. That Japanese listing cannot be compared directly with the US or Indian prices.

Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Edge 70 Fusion if the configuration sold in your market offers the battery capacity and charging speed you want, or if you prefer the listed ultrawide-and-macro camera approach. Confirm the local battery, charger-in-box status and full specification sheet before ordering.
- Choose the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if its regional version confirms the dedicated periscope telephoto camera and you value optical reach for distant subjects. Check that the zoom hardware and storage match the configuration being sold.
- Choose based on price only after comparing same-market checkout totals for matching storage and seller conditions. The figures currently cited do not establish a globally meaningful price gap.
