The Motorola Edge 60 Stylus is worth considering if you will actually use its built-in pen for quick notes, sketches or annotations. Its 1.5K 120 Hz pOLED display and practical extras make it a capable India-market mid-range phone, but the pen is basic, and performance, cameras and battery life are not class-leading.

What are the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus’s key specifications?

Motorola’s India specifications list Android 15, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone supports microSD cards up to 1 TB. Motorola cautions that specifications may vary by market, so these details should not be assumed to apply to every regional version.

Feature India-market specification
Display 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED, 120 Hz
Processor Snapdragon 7s Gen 2
Memory and storage 8 GB RAM, 256 GB UFS 2.2; microSD expansion up to 1 TB
Software at listing Android 15
Battery and charging 5,000 mAh; 68 W wired charging and 15 W wireless charging support

The listed wireless charging support does not mean a wireless charger is included: Motorola says it is sold separately. The specifications and market caveat are on Motorola India’s Edge 60 Stylus page.

How useful is the built-in stylus?

The pen is the phone’s main reason to stand out. It is integrated, so you can pull it out for a brief note, list, sketch or on-screen task without carrying a separate accessory. The Indian Express reviewer found the basic functions useful, including shortcuts for notes, screenshots, a handwriting calculator and a canvas for drawing.

Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G | 2024 | Unlocked | Made for US 8/128GB | 50MP Camera | Caramel Latte
  • NEW built-in stylus. Jot notes, edit photos, sketch artwork, and navigate effortlessly with an improved stylus and updated software.
  • 6.7" pOLED display and Dolby Atmos. Experience cinema-quality entertainment with over a billion shades of color and multidimensional sound*.
  • 50MP Ultra Pixel camera + OIS. Capture sharper low-light photos and smoother videos with an unshakable camera system featuring Optical Image Stabilization.
  • 30W TurboPower charging + over a day battery. Get hours of power in just minutes of charging, then work and play with unbelievable battery life**.
  • Standout design. Make a statement with its stunning look, modern color, and soft, vegan leather finish.

It is not an advanced creative stylus. The Indian Express review says it lacks pressure sensitivity, remote-control functions, a laser pointer and air gestures. If you need varied pen pressure for artwork or remote presentation controls, this pen does not offer those features. Its value is convenience for everyday writing and sketching, not replacing a specialist stylus.

How good are the display and everyday performance?

Display

The 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED panel and 120 Hz refresh rate give the phone a sharp, smooth screen on paper. The Indian Express and 91mobiles reviewers both noted the screen among its strengths. It suits reading, video and everyday scrolling, and is a useful complement to the pen for notes and annotations.

Performance

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is adequate for routine phone tasks, but it is not a reason to buy this as a high-performance device. The Indian Express reviewer found it fine for basic use and reported a performance drop under heavier workloads. Heavy gaming or demanding creator apps should therefore be weighed against alternatives with stronger sustained performance.

Are the cameras reliable?

The camera system can produce decent results in adequate light, but reviewer findings point to inconsistency rather than flagship-level image quality. The Indian Express reviewer reported strong contrast and difficulty with high-contrast scenes. 91mobiles praised the camera hardware but noted portrait skin-tone issues.

That makes the cameras reasonable for casual photography when conditions are favorable, but a weaker fit if dependable results across challenging lighting and portraits are a priority.

How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?

Battery results depend on how heavily the phone is used. The Indian Express reviewer said average use lasted into a second day, while heavy use drained the phone around 9 pm. 91mobiles reported almost a full day with moderate use. These are reviewer experiences under their respective usage conditions, not a guaranteed runtime; heavy users should not count on getting a second day.

Motorola lists a 5,000 mAh battery, 68 W wired charging and 15 W wireless charging support. In a 91mobiles test, the bundled charger took 35 minutes to charge the phone from 20% to 100%. That is one publication’s test result, not a universal charging-time guarantee. Motorola says the wireless charger is not included.

What else should buyers know?

  • Useful hardware extras: the India specifications and reviews list expandable storage, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, IP68 rating and wireless charging support.
  • Box contents and protection: 91mobiles reported no pre-applied screen guard and no case in the box. It also found limited online case options at review time; availability may have changed.
  • Software support: The Indian Express reported Motorola’s launch-time commitment of two Android OS upgrades and three years of security patches. That is the commitment reported in the review, not confirmation of current patch delivery.
  • Price context: The Indian Express listed Rs 22,999 as the review-time price. It is historical context, not a current quote; check an India retailer for today’s price and stock.

Motorola Edge 60 Stylus: pros and cons

Pros Cons
Integrated pen makes quick notes and sketches convenient without a separate accessory. Stylus lacks pressure sensitivity and advanced remote or gesture features.
Sharp 1.5K, 120 Hz pOLED display. Performance drops under heavier workloads, according to the Indian Express reviewer.
Expandable storage, headphone jack, IP68 rating and wireless charging support. Camera results can struggle with high-contrast scenes and portrait skin tones.
91mobiles recorded a 35-minute charge from 20% to full using the bundled charger. Battery life varies substantially with use; the second-day result should not be assumed for heavy use.

Should you buy the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus?

Buy it if an integrated pen will be part of your regular routine—especially for brief notes, lists, annotations or sketches—and you also want a sharp OLED screen and useful hardware extras. The pen is the deciding feature: without a real need for it, the phone’s other strengths are less compelling as a reason to choose it over conventional mid-range alternatives.

Compare other phones closely if you are a heavy gamer, use demanding creative apps, prioritize consistent camera performance or want a longer software-support commitment. Anuj Bhatia, reviewing for The Indian Express, captured the phone’s appeal this way: “The Edge 60 Stylus offers a basic experience — and maybe that’s exactly what I want from a note-taking smartphone.”
