The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is the larger phone, with a higher listed battery capacity and faster maximum wired charging. The Google Pixel 10a is more compact and comes with Google’s explicit promise of seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. There is no reliable universal price gap in the available figures: the listed prices use different currencies and market contexts, so compare current prices in the same country and for matching storage before deciding which is better value.

Screen and size: larger Motorola or more compact Pixel?

The Edge 60 Pro has a 6.7-inch display, compared with the Pixel 10a’s 6.3-inch screen. That makes Motorola the straightforward choice if you want more display area; the Pixel is the more compact option by screen diagonal. The Motorola panel also has a higher listed resolution, while Google specifies an adaptive 60–120 Hz refresh range.

Both brightness figures come from their respective manufacturers, using specifications that are not established as directly comparable measurements. They indicate what each company claims for its own phone, not which screen will look brighter in every setting.

Performance, memory, and storage

The cited Motorola UK configuration pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 8350-family processor with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Google lists the Tensor G4, 8 GB of RAM, and a choice of 128 GB or 256 GB for the Pixel 10a. These are listed configurations, not benchmark results; the specifications alone do not establish which phone performs better in a particular app or workload.

Check the exact Edge 60 Pro variant sold in your country before using the UK memory and storage figures to compare a local offer. Motorola configurations vary by region, so a listing in another market may not match the cited version.

Battery capacity and charging

Motorola lists a 6000 mAh battery and up to 90 W TurboPower wired charging for the cited Edge 60 Pro configuration. Reaching the maximum charging rate requires a capable Motorola TurboPower charger. Google lists a typical 5100 mAh capacity for the Pixel 10a and says it can charge up to 50% in about 30 minutes using a 45 W USB-C PPS charger or higher; that charger is sold separately. Charging speed varies with conditions, and neither figure guarantees a particular result in everyday use.

Camera hardware: system count is not photo quality

PhoneArena’s comparison labels the Edge 60 Pro a triple-camera phone and the Pixel 10a a dual-camera phone. That describes the number of cameras in each system, not the quality of their photos. A comparative camera test is not established by the available specifications, so the camera count alone is not a sound reason to choose one over the other.

Durability ratings and what they do not promise

Motorola lists IP68 and IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification for the Edge 60 Pro. Google’s Pixel 10a material lists IP68. These ratings and certifications describe specified forms of protection; they do not make either phone damage-proof or establish equal survival in a particular accident. They should not be read as a guarantee against drops, all water exposure, or wear over time.

Software support: Google states a duration

Google says the Pixel 10a receives seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. The cited Motorola specification page does not state an equivalent support duration for the Edge 60 Pro. That means Google’s commitment is the clearer documented point of comparison here; it does not establish the Motorola phone’s support end date.

Price difference: why the available figures do not settle it

PhoneArena’s comparison page displays €699 for the Edge 60 Pro and $499 for the Pixel 10a with 128 GB of storage. Because those figures use different currencies and market contexts, they do not show that one phone currently costs a specific amount more than the other. They are not a synchronized, same-market street-price comparison. PhoneArena comparison

To calculate a useful price difference, compare current offers from the same country and date, use the same currency, and account for storage. The cited Pixel price is specifically for 128 GB; the cited Motorola UK specification is a 512 GB configuration, and neither listed figure establishes what either phone costs in your local market today.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Choose the Edge 60 Pro if you prioritize a larger display, the cited UK configuration’s 512 GB storage, a higher listed battery capacity, or a higher maximum wired charging rate.
  • Choose the Pixel 10a if you want the smaller display size or value Google’s stated seven-year OS, security, and Pixel Drop update commitment.
  • Compare local offers before judging value. Use matching currencies, storage configurations, and current prices rather than subtracting the two figures shown in different market contexts.
