The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is the higher-tier option on paper, with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and a brighter listed display. The Edge 50 Pro uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Both are listed with a 6.7-inch 1.5K 144Hz pOLED screen, a 4,500mAh battery and 125W wired charging. Price depends on market and date: Motorola India displayed a ₹10,000 sale-price difference between the listed models on October 7, 2026; Motorola’s 2024 European launch prices differed by €300.

Processor: the Ultra has the higher listed performance tier
The Edge 50 Pro’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and the Ultra’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 place them in different processor tiers on paper. That makes the Ultra the more compelling specification choice if processing capability is your priority. The listed chipsets alone do not establish how large the real-world speed difference is: the cited material includes no benchmark results or hands-on performance testing.

Display: similar format, brighter peak figure on the Ultra
Both phones have the same listed 6.7-inch 2712 × 1220 pOLED resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Motorola lists peak brightness at up to 2000 nits for the Pro and 2800 nits for the Ultra. Those peak figures distinguish the published specifications, but they do not by themselves establish typical brightness in every setting.
Battery and charging: matching capacities and wired ratings
Motorola lists a 4,500mAh battery and up to 125W wired charging for each phone. Matching capacity does not prove matching battery life, and the charging ratings are not independently tested charging-time measurements. The Pro’s specification page says up to 50W wireless charging requires a separately sold Motorola TurboPower 50W Wireless Charging Stand. Motorola’s US Ultra page also lists up to 50W wireless charging; check the specification for the exact regional model before assuming its accessories or conditions match.
Cameras: the available specifications do not support a full head-to-head verdict
Motorola’s EMEA Pro listing identifies a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 13MP 120-degree ultrawide camera with macro capability, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP front camera. The cited Ultra source excerpt does not expose its full camera specifications. That evidence is enough to describe the Pro’s hardware, but not to declare which phone has the better camera system.
Why the Edge 50 Ultra’s configuration may differ by country
RAM and storage are not uniform across the Ultra’s regional listings. Motorola’s US page specifies 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, while its UK page specifies 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The UK page also lists Wi-Fi 7, a 197g weight and dimensions of 161.09 × 72.38 × 8.59mm. For the Pro, the cited EMEA page lists 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with dimensions of 161.23 × 72.4 × 8.19mm and a weight of 186g.
These regional differences matter when comparing prices: make sure the listing you are considering has the RAM, storage and regional specification you want. Motorola’s official pages are UK Edge 50 Ultra specifications and EMEA Edge 50 Pro specifications.

How much more does the Edge 50 Ultra cost?
India: ₹10,000 between the listed sale prices
On October 7, 2026, Motorola India’s Edge family page displayed the Edge 50 Pro at ₹29,999, against a displayed MRP of ₹41,999. It displayed the 12GB/512GB Edge 50 Ultra at ₹39,999, against an MRP of ₹64,999. Comparing the listed sale prices gives a ₹10,000 difference; comparing the displayed MRPs gives a ₹23,000 difference. These are India-specific listings observed on that date, not guaranteed prices today or in other markets. Check the Motorola India Edge family page for current listings.
Europe: a €300 difference at 2024 launch
Motorola’s 2024 launch announcement gave starting MSRPs of €699 for the Edge 50 Pro and €999 for the Edge 50 Ultra in selected European markets—a €300 gap at launch. These are historical launch prices, not current street prices. See Motorola’s 2024 Edge family announcement.
There is no single worldwide price difference: country, retailer, promotion, configuration and date all affect what a buyer pays. Compare offers from the same market and use the exact RAM and storage configuration when possible.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Edge 50 Ultra if
- You want the more advanced processor listed by Motorola.
- The higher published peak-brightness figure matters to you.
- You are considering a regional configuration with more RAM or storage, such as the UK-listed 16GB/1TB model.
- The Ultra’s current local price premium fits your budget.
Choose the Edge 50 Pro if
- You want the documented camera arrangement of a main, ultrawide/macro and 3× optical telephoto camera.
- You can buy it for meaningfully less than the Ultra in your market.
- Its listed display, battery and wired charging specifications meet your needs without paying for the Ultra’s higher-tier chipset.
The most defensible choice depends on the local price and regional SKU. The listed specifications favor the Ultra for chipset tier and peak display brightness, while the available camera evidence does not settle a camera-system comparison.
