The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has the clearer verified specification sheet; the Lava Virat Curve 5G is reported to offer a larger battery and a lower comparison-site price, but its details need more confirmation. Motorola India’s catalogue displays the Edge 50 Fusion at ₹20,999 (MRP ₹27,999), while 91mobiles showed ₹18,999 for the Lava on its comparison page. Those are not verified same-date, same-variant transaction prices, so they do not establish a reliable price difference. Check the exact model, storage variant, seller and final payable price before choosing.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion vs Lava Virat Curve 5G: at a glance

The Edge 50 Fusion specifications below are drawn primarily from Motorola’s India support and catalogue pages. Lava specifications and the Lava price are secondary-source reports, not confirmed here by an official Lava product page. Motorola cautions that specifications may vary by market.

Which phone has the better display?

The Motorola’s panel has the more complete published specification: pOLED, Full HD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The Lava is reported to have a curved AMOLED panel of the same diagonal size, but the resolution and refresh rate are not established in the available comparison data. Without those details, a meaningful screen-to-screen verdict is not possible. A curved edge is a design choice, not by itself evidence of better display quality.

How do the processors and memory compare?

The listed chipsets differ: Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in the Motorola and Dimensity 7100 in the Lava, according to the cited sources. Chip names and manufacturing-process figures alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads. No comparable benchmark protocol or hands-on performance results are established here.

Motorola lists two memory and storage combinations, 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB. The Lava’s 6 GB RAM figure is a secondary-source report, and its storage configuration is not confirmed. Check the exact configuration on the seller page; comparing different storage variants can also distort the price comparison.

What is known about the cameras?

The reported Motorola rear setup pairs a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 13 MP ultrawide. Gadgets Now reports a 50 MP Sony IMX752 primary sensor for the Lava, but its stabilization and secondary-camera details are not authoritatively confirmed in the available sources. The cited comparison data also reports a 32 MP Motorola front camera and a 13 MP Lava front camera.

  • Dual SIM Capability: This unlocked smartphone supports dual SIM cards, allowing you to conveniently manage personal and work lines.

Megapixel counts do not establish image quality, and the available sources do not provide comparable camera tests. Treat the Lava camera details as reports to verify against the exact model and market listing, rather than as a basis for declaring a winner.

Battery capacity and charging: larger is not the same as longer-lasting

Motorola specifies a 5,000 mAh battery and 68 W TurboPower charging. 91mobiles reports a 6,000 mAh battery for the Lava, but a verified charging rate is not available here. Capacity alone cannot predict runtime: screen settings, software, signal conditions and workload all affect it. No comparable battery-life testing is established for these phones.

Durability and software support

Motorola lists IP68 protection for the Edge 50 Fusion. No equivalent official Lava durability rating is confirmed in the available sources, so the two models cannot be compared fairly on water and dust resistance.

The Motorola support page identifies Android 14, while 91mobiles reports Android 16 for the Lava. These are source-reported software versions, not a verified statement of what is installed on every unit currently sold. The comparison source also reports differing update periods, but those commitments are not manufacturer-confirmed here. Check the exact regional model’s current software and update policy before purchase.

What is the price difference in India?

Motorola India’s Edge family catalogue displays ₹20,999 alongside an MRP of ₹27,999 and lists 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB variants. These are catalogue page values, not a guaranteed checkout price. The 91mobiles comparison showed ₹18,999 for the Lava, but the seller, configuration, stock and offer conditions were not independently verified.

Subtracting those displayed figures would produce ₹2,000, but it would not be a dependable like-for-like saving: the prices may reflect different dates, sellers, variants or discounts. Compare final payable prices on the same date, for matching storage where possible, and distinguish a listed MRP from a retailer offer.

Which one should you choose?

  • Choose the Edge 50 Fusion if its documented 144 Hz pOLED screen, 68 W charging, IP68 rating, or listed 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB options matter most to you.
  • Consider the Lava Virat Curve 5G if you verify the reported 6,000 mAh battery, display details, storage configuration, charging rate and current seller price for the exact unit you plan to buy.
  • Decide by price only after checking both phones’ live stock, exact configuration, seller and final checkout total. The available figures do not establish a definitive current price gap.

For either model, confirm the regional specification and warranty terms on the seller or manufacturer page before ordering. Motorola notes that specifications can vary by market; Lava’s full specifications and official pricing were not confirmed by the sources cited above.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
