The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 50 Neo are listed at the same price on Motorola India’s product-family page captured on October 5, 2026: ₹20,999 each. That is not a like-for-like configuration comparison, however—the Fusion listing is for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Neo is 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. On hardware, the Fusion has the larger, faster-refreshing display and higher stated battery capacity; the Neo is smaller, has a higher-resolution LTPO display, adds wireless charging, and has a documented 3x optical telephoto camera.

Display and size: larger versus sharper on paper

The Fusion’s 6.67-inch screen is 0.27 inches larger diagonally and has a stated 144Hz refresh rate. That makes it the option to consider if you want more screen area or prioritize a higher maximum refresh-rate specification.

The Neo’s 6.4-inch LTPO display has a higher stated resolution—2670 × 1220 versus 2400 × 1080—and adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. It is also listed at 171g, compared with around 175g for the Fusion. Those specs favor a more compact, slightly lighter phone with greater pixel density on paper. The figures are from Motorola regional pages, not a same-region controlled comparison.

Battery and charging: capacity is not a battery-life test

Motorola lists a 5,000mAh battery and 68W wired charging for the Fusion. The Neo has a smaller 4,310mAh battery, also supports 68W wired charging, and adds 15W wireless charging. The Fusion therefore has the higher stated capacity, while wireless charging is a Neo feature. Capacity figures alone do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use; usage, software, network conditions, and testing methods matter.

Performance: two different processors, no proven winner here

The Fusion uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2; the Neo uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300. The processor names identify different platforms, but Motorola’s cited specification pages do not provide matched benchmark results. They are not enough to conclude which phone is faster in games, sustained workloads, or day-to-day use. If performance is decisive, look for independent tests of the exact regional variants you are considering.

Cameras: the Neo’s telephoto hardware is documented

Motorola’s reviewed Neo specification page lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 13MP ultrawide/macro camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The reviewed Fusion specification page does not state its camera hardware, so these sources do not support a complete camera-by-camera comparison or a claim that one takes better photos. Check regional specifications and independent photo samples before choosing on camera quality.

Water and dust protection

Both regional Motorola specification pages list an IP68 rating. Treat that as a stated rating, not a promise that either phone is damage-proof; confirm the terms applicable to your region and avoid assuming that water exposure is covered under warranty.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Consider the Edge 50 Fusion if you prefer a larger display, a higher listed maximum refresh rate, or its larger stated battery capacity.
  • Consider the Edge 50 Neo if you want a smaller, lighter handset, a higher-resolution LTPO display, 15W wireless charging, or the documented 3x optical telephoto camera.
  • Compare exact listings before paying: check RAM and storage, local price and seller terms, regional network bands, and warranty/support. The India prices cited above are for different RAM configurations.
  • Do not decide from processor names or battery capacity alone if gaming speed, camera results, or endurance are your priority; the cited official specifications do not establish those real-world winners.
