#1 Best Overall
Before purchasing, compare the exact RAM and storage configuration, color, seller, warranty terms, stock, and final checkout price. A listing for one variant does not establish the price or availability of the other.
Display and performance
The 6.55-inch pOLED screen is specified at 144Hz, with 10-bit color, DCI-P3, and up to 1,300 nits peak brightness. These are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee that every app or setting will use the maximum refresh rate or brightness. The Dimensity 7030 is the listed chipset; the available evidence does not establish how it performs against a particular competing phone in independent testing.
Cameras
The rear camera system pairs a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide camera that includes Macro Vision. The front camera is 32MP. Motorola’s launch material also claims its Auto Night Vision capture is up to 16 times faster than on the Edge 30; that is Motorola’s own comparison, not an independent camera test. Battery, charging, and IP68 limits
68W charging
Motorola advertises 68W TurboPower charging and says median users can get up to 50% charge in 15 minutes when charge boost is enabled and the battery is substantially depleted. Charging slows as the battery fills, and results vary; treat the figure as a qualified manufacturer claim rather than a guaranteed top-up time. Motorola launch announcement
Water resistance
Motorola says the IP68 rating is based on controlled laboratory testing in fresh water up to 1.5 metres deep for up to 30 minutes. The company explicitly warns that the phone is “Not designed to work while submerged underwater.” It is not waterproof: resistance can diminish through normal wear, exposure outside the tested conditions is not covered by the stated rating, and the phone should not be exposed to pressurized or non-fresh water. Do not charge it while wet. Motorola launch announcement and disclaimer
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the Motorola Edge 40 Neo worth buying?
It may suit someone looking for a 5G phone with a high-refresh-rate pOLED display, OIS on the main camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and fast charging. Whether it is good value depends on the current price for the specific memory variant and the alternatives available at the same time. The dated India listings above are not a live quote, and the evidence here does not establish a current software-support end date or an independent head-to-head performance result.
Check the live listing and Motorola’s current support information before deciding, particularly if current Android or security updates are important to you.
